Website Updates and Island Shopping
TGI..."S" - yes! Thank goodness it's SATURDAY!! So, this morning, while it was just getting light, I woke up, groggy and was thinking "ugh, I'm going to have to get up soon; what time is it; how close to the alarm going off?" Then I realized...
IT'S SATURDAY!!! No school, No "to do's." What a great feeling!
We are in the midst of a heavy duty rain storm here on Long Island. They are calling it a nor'easter, and the rains are supposed to get very high. I'm praying that we do not lose power.
In any case, I've got some super relaxing plans for the day, which I will share with you.
This will be a short, fun overview of information, pictures and video clips that we will be posting on our Home page and Media Kit page. This should fill my day pretty nicely!! In between, I'll be browsing the internet for some "island-wear" for our Christmas trip to the Dominican Republic. I do need a new swimsuit, some cute flip flops and sandals, casual dresses and anything else that strikes my fancy!! Here are a few things I found during the week - going to keep looking, however, before I make my purchases. Wow - the wind is really ramping up! Ok - on with my day of relaxation! Have a fabulous Saturday!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
Historic MLB World Series Game
Here I am! Give me a HEYYY!
Wow what a night it was. I didn't really do anything, I didn't really go anywhere. But a group of us sat in front of the good 'ol TV watching the 3rd game of the MLB WS and what a game it was... It was a marathon of a game that lasted over 7 hours and by doing so had made history. Did you watch? Here are some more interesting FACTS about Game 3 of the 2018 MLB WS:
The game was originally being recorded, but with only an hour or so of extra time. This was obviously no game for that! Once the recording stopped we went to live TV and then for some reason could not pause or rewind.
And with us being glued to the boob tube, we just sat and watched and watched and watched. I don't even like these teams and yet nothing could pull me away from the TV. Could you even imagine the amount of stress that stress that I would've been under if my team was in the running! The series is best of 7 and a 2-3-2 split between Boston (who had the best record in baseball and therefore gets home field advantage) and Los Angeles - where yesterday's game was and tonight's game will be. You know I'm a big baseball fan but... DID YOU KNOW THAT I'VE BEEN TO ALMOST ALL OF THE MLB STADIUMS?!
Yup, I've been to 25 of the 30 Stadiums across the country.
The 5 left for me to go visit are:
