We are just coming off of a lovely birthday yesterday, and I was pretty much confined to the kitchen cooking away ALL DAY LONG!
Dominic's Birthday Menu BREAKFAST: Tater Tot Waffle Melt
LUNCH: Bruschetta (sorry I guess I didn't take any pics) DINNER: Homemade Ravioli's with Marinara
Meanwhile between eating Dominic was busy opening gifts, playing Rock Band, and just overall enjoying his special day!
There was one (prank) gift that really threw him for a loop, when his dad decided to wrap a POOPER SCOOPER up to fake him out. Poor kid was a big shocked to open this one, but he was a good sport and still managed to be very grateful for it (it's something that he'll find plenty of use for in the yard anyhow).
Hours later he was given some other gifts that had him in shock as he was overwhelmed with surprise and gratitude.
Last part of the day was when everyone had gathered around the table to sing Happy Birthday to him and have some (really super delicious - if I may say so myself) Tiramisu. YUM!
As far as today goes we are back in business with the kids lessons - heading to take Cosette horseback riding here soon, and then Dominic has class tonight and he also has an appointment at the salon to get his haircut. We had wanted to get his haircut before his birthday but our hair stylist had a pretty full schedule that could not match with our own and tonight was the earliest that would work for us.
Well folks we only have 24 more shopping days until Christmas. I know that I am looking pretty good and am well underway with all of my shopping. Sure I still have a butch to do - but considering how LONG my shopping list started out as, I'm not all that worried about it.
I've gotta get some stuff done around here, before we head on outta here. Catch y'all tomorrow, -T
