We are heading to the beach this morning for an IPC social event fun of friends, fun, and games!
And then once the fun has died down, this group of amazing kids will partake in a community service event of Beach Clean Up!
These guys really step it up and do their part throughout the year. Kudos to the International Peace Choir and all of their efforts to making this world a better place!
Before getting over to the beach for our day of fun in the sun, we will be stopping by the good 'ol luggage repair shop and dropping off Dave's carry-on - it is in need of some TLC before we head off to Hawaii.
As far as Vegas goes, I told him that he can borrow one of my bags to get him by. I'm just the sweetest! LOL
And since we are heading to the beach, I am expecting that the temps will be slightly cooler - because I really can't take this heat very much longer! *Thank God that the temps are suppose to go down next week!
As far as yesterday went, we had a fun night out with our friend Chhai! And after thinking about it, we have seen her since last Patriots' Day. She is a wonderful supporter of the IPC and she came out for a fundraiser that we had last November. So yes, it has been a while...just not quite as long as I first thought!
We spent plenty of time doing "travel talk" and we all had a really good time, however...my bowling game was definitely OFF!
Cosette going for a strike!
After a couple of games, we parted ways with Chhai and had to run into Whole Foods for a handful (or a few handfuls) of supplies for todays event and then we decided to have dinner at Native Foods.
Guess we were hungry!
Mmmm don't you want a bite!
My poor Cosette was feeling a bit dehydrated from not drinking enough water (on this miserably HOT day) and she was a bit out of sorts...
Which btw is definitely not the way we want to be conserving water! Check out these insane water saving facts:
Just in case you can't read it...
That quarter pounder is worth more than 30 average American showers.
Pork costs water to produce but has also been the cause of some water pollution as pig waste runs into local water sources.
A vegan person indirectly consumes 600 gallons of water LESS than a person who eats the average American diet. That's more than 200,000 gallons a year!
Who would've thought... Those are some crazy figures there!
Well that's it for me. Whatever your plans are I hope that you are enjoying your weekend, and that you continue to do so!
It's time for us to jam!
See ya back here tomorrow with the full scoop in the Daily.

A Picture's Worth 1000 Words
A Big HELLO!!! Well, today is going to be a pampering day for me - hair, nails, a back massage. Some days a girl just needs to get fussed over!!
I'm at Ismari's Hair Place and Ismari was just telling me all about her mini-vacay last weekend to Lancaster. They visited both Hershey Park as well as Cherry Crest Farm and said they had an amazing time!
I've never been to Cherry Crest, so it was great to hear such good reviews of this adventure Farm, which I'll be visiting with the kids in October.
As for my day yesterday... What a fun day!!! Took the kids (including bestie Lisa's daughter, Sarah) to Luna Park in Coney Island. What more can I say than it was a day of rides, food and laughs!
SELFIE OF OUR LITTLE GROUP AS WE ARRIVED AT LUNA PARK
We hit as many rides as we could although, there is always more to do at an amusement park!!
I LOVE amusement parks, even though I'm not a fan of spinning, twisting rides.(BARF!) but I always have a blast watching the kids get thrown around as they sour, spin and move about!
My big anticipation for the day was riding The Cyclone, the historic wooden roller coaster that opened on June 26, 1927, which is now a National Landmark and a New York City Landmark.
I even spent the additional money for us to ride the Cyclone. (if purchased separately, it costs $9.00 for a ticket to ride this roller coaster).
In any case, we walk to the ride; my heart is pumping; we are totally psyched; and as we walk up to the entrance, we find out that Kelsey is too short to ride!!!! And she is only too short by 2"!! With that, the kid freaks out, crying hysterically.
Now mind you, I wanted to do the same LOL. This is what I was waiting for the entire day! Unfortunately, I was the only adult with these kids, so there was no way I was going to let Gianna and/or Sarah stay off the ride with Kelsey so I could go on. UGH - I was so disappointed! I got ice cream with Kelsey instead to lighten up the situation - it helped, but, was not making it better. The worst was when Gianna and Sarah came running off the ride and screamed "We're going on again!!!"
Oh well, a reason to go back when Kelsey grows two more inches.
We got Nathan's to go as we left - nothing better than Nathan's french fries!! YUM! (By the way, a small order is 840 Calories!!)
So, here is my day in photos!! Like I always say, "A picture is worth 1000 words!!"
