Preparing for A Special Day
What a gorgeous day here on Long Island! Another perfect Fall Day.
Our day started the usual way our Saturdays begin...rising early and heading out to the barn for the girls' weekly riding camp day.
My little Punkin was in tow and we spent some time walking around the barn and then at Tanger Outlets.
Lucky for me, the girls' friends' mom kindly offered to drive the girls home today, so I was able to slip out early and head back home.
I'm actually writing this blog a bit late because of the sudden change in plans.
And I have to apologize because tomorrow is quite a busy day, so I need to do so many errands and "to do's" today.
Tomorrow is my birthday!!!
So, not only do I have a lovely brunch planned with my girlies, but it also happens to be my nephew and Godson, Nolan's Confirmation. So, the evening will be spent with the rest of the FAM celebrating this milestone.
I'm going to check out early but didn't want the day to pass without telling you how much I love knowing you enjoy our blog and check in each day!!
Back tomorrow as I turn a year older!!!

The Birthday Celebration continues..
Good Day and Greetings from an overcast Southern California - which btw I'm totally fine with and happy to take a break from the heat and sun. Bring on some Fall weather and I'll really be a happy camper!!
So it happened again folks - this morning was one of those fairly rare times that I woke up completely discombobulated and had no clue where I was, what day it was, where I needed to be, what I needed to do, and still thought that I was in Florida and with plans of going to spend the day at yet another WDW (Walt Disney World) theme park!
I laid there in bed, in the dark, looking around and trying to figure out where I was (in my room of all places), and I just couldn't figure it out.
Then I started to think about what day it was...where were we going? Where did I need to be? I couldn't for the life of me figure this one out!
So I thought that perhaps if I realized where I was yesterday that it would help clear my mind. When I remembered that yesterday was my sweet baby's birthday (okay so she's not so much of a baby anymore...but she'll always be my baby!) this was when I finally realized that we had traveled back from Florida to California and celebrated her birthday here on the homefront!!

Wowzers, that's ALWAYS a weird feeling and it almost throws me into a panic - I mean what if I had a flight to catch or something???
Upon our arrival, my mumsy picked us up and we headed home. Chaplin came running down the stairs just as soon as she heard that we were in the house. Present in hand and all. She was super excited to see us, but mostly to see Cosette.
This little one LOVES birthdays...anyone's birthday!!

Travel stories were told, laughs were shared, and good times were had!
The kids went with my mom to go pick up Mika from school (she had a half day), and the celebration continued with more gifts and with me donning my kitchen apron, cooking all of Cosette's wishes and filling lots of bellies!

Jet lag had hit Cosette pretty hard and although we had plans of going to the movies it had to be postponed until today because she was so darn sleepy.
She was barely awake enough to blow out her candles!

Come nightfall this poor kiddo was so out of it that she even fell asleep before dinner. She woke up to eat, but vowed that we should never fly on her birthday again! Aww.
Well the celebration doesn't end there... Today we are heading to have afternoon tea at the Langham in Pasadena. You all know how much I love tea time and this will be the kids first time experiencing the English tradition before we head to London and do it for real!!
I sure hope that this location of the Langham hits the mark! As you might recall that one of my favorite places for tea is the Langham in London.
However when I attempted vegan afternoon tea at the Langham in Boston it was a joke! Just awful. So obviously it can go either way. I'll keep you posted.
While we are out there in Pasadena, I think that we'll also do a quick visit to the Huntington Gardens...perhaps only to do some shopping. And then later on tonight we'll actually go to the movies and hopefully stay awake for it. Cosette wants to go see the Magnificent Seven. All in all it should be a fun day.
I'll leave you on that note, and hope that you find a way to enjoy your day doing whatever it is that makes you smile. Cheerio, -T
