Tanya's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 19 DAYS
Another Day, Another Performance
Yup folks with only 5 days left to go until Christmas, we still have 2 more performances (today and on Tuesday), a Christmas party, 2 more Holiday Festive Events, and a Birthday (Mika's) to squeeze in on top of everything else that is going on during the short week before Christmas!
I personally just adore Christmas and everything about it, but there are some others who are not quite as enthusiastic about the holiday... Dave B. for instance being one of them, he's definitely no Grinch, but he is looking forward to Boxing Day (December 26th) so that he can sleep late and cure his Christmas "hang over" (no alcohol involved in this hang-over).
He sure can be a silly guy... He claims that for each year that he spends with me, that I age him 10 years! While this is not the first time or first person that I'm hearing this from - it still hits rather hard! WTH?!
Anyhow in todays scoop, let me tell you about yesterday and how I totally SCREWED up...the call time. There I had our schedule all perfectly planned and we were on our way to the Farmer's Market.
In fact we were at the Farmer's Market and actually standing at the coffee stand ordering when I noticed my phone. I apparently had missed a couple of texts and as I read them over "ARE YOU ON YOUR WAY?? THE KIDS ARE GOING ON STAGE IN 30 MINUTES!!!" I quickly got on the phone and alerted the director that we were on our way! Oh and did I mention that I had already sent a text earlier to confirm the call time that I had thought was correct, however it was to the wrong director (not assigned to this show) and I thought we were golden!
So we rushed them to the venue and after a very quick warm up they were ready to perform. Talk about being professional performers!
Lunch was next, then dropping me off so that the rest of the gang could go shopping for your's truly!
I took care of much wrapping and definitely made somewhat of a dent in all of my packages...
But once the gang got back, after a successful shopping trip, it was time to head up to Los Angeles. The original plan was to head to The Grove and see the BIGGEST TREE in the southland. Well...it started raining and if you know anything about SoCal drivers in the rain - you know that there was gonna be a TON of traffic.
So getting up to LA took that much longer and going to The Grove and making out reservations wasn't gonna happen. So we opted for dinner and called ahead to see if we could come in a bit early.
We ate at Little Pine, Moby's new vegan restaurant. Dinner was enjoyable, though not outstanding (which is what I was hoping for), but I'm a self admitted foodie who is picky and hard to please.
And that was that! I enjoyed everything, but wasn't wowed by anything, aside from being very impressed with the fact that 100% of any and all profits from Little Pine goes to non-profit organizations that advocate for the humane treatment of animals. What an amazing and awesome concept! Way to go Moby!
Once getting back, that was a wrap. Another full day of festive, fun and adventure today!
We're off to another performance, I'll fill ya in on everything tomorrow...

Meeting a New Family Member
GREETINGS FROM SUNNY FLORIDA!!
Well, my friends, me and my girls finally made it to The Sunshine State!
I really believe that things work out for the best and, this trip is no different. The fact that we were unable to fly Friday night due to our little situation with the "hover board" actually worked out better.
Getting an early morning, fresh start; heading for the airport and arriving bright and early in West Palm Beach was so much nicer.
We got to settle in throughout the day and enjoy the sunshine. No need to schlepp luggage to rent our car late at night and then drive on the highway in the dark.
When we arrived at Mom and Dad's, the kids practically jumped out of the car before I stopped because they were so excited!
One of the things they were most ecstatic about was meeting the new member of the family -- Mikey 2.0. Mom and Dad's new little Yorkshire Terrier puppy.
This little, adorable baby boy is 10 weeks old and about 1-1/2 lbs. The kids are in their glory with this tiny puppy!
Last night, I took a glorious power walk all around their development. It was just what the doctor ordered!!
I loved the way the palm tree and homes down here in the area were decorated for Christmas!
Today is going to be a day of relaxation.
Gianna took the lead on selecting recipes for Christmas - for our meal and desserts and sweets.
I'll be heading to the supermarket in a few minutes to gather our necessities for our Christmas feast.
I'll be taking lots of pics today of our first day here in Boca!
