Please drop us a line about what you have enjoyed and what kind of stories you would enjoy having us write about. We posted an article on our social media sites today about Hotel Travel Tips from Travel & Leisure. Loyalty programs, thinking out of the box and lots of online sites all help you to save money and insure the best trip possible when it comes to arranging your accommodations. One tidbit I acquired from this story, was a travel booking site called Tingo (a TripAdvisor Company) - if you book your hotel through them, they will automatically secure a lower rate on your booking if the rate should drop. Worth looking into. In order to keep up to date, Like and Follow good travel resources on your social media pages. Here are a few of the newest Hotel and accommodations sites we just started following on TC's social media sites: Tingo, Airbnb, One Fine Stay, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, The Suitest and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) And last but not least, for Long Island entertainment information, check out my article about The Long Island International Film Expo Celebrates 17 Years . Have a fun Summer saturday! Till tomorrow, -E | It's a Birthday kinda day!In less then 48hrs I'll be en-route to NYC! So much to do in so little time.. Today is my sister Jet's birthday and she has decided for us all to go on a picnic over looking the beautiful Pacific Ocean! Then to head down from the bluffs and take a stroll on the beach, followed by indulging in some yummy Gelato, made traditionally by the owners of Vitaly (opened by chefs Maurizio and Barbara Cocchi, natives of Bologna). And lucky for us they offer a couple vegan gelato flavors as well!!! Here are the main differences between Gelato and Ice Cream: -1 Gelato is served warmer ( 10 F instead of 0 ) -2 Gelato has much less air in it ( average between 10 to 20 % instead of 80 to 100 % ) -3 Gelato has usually a total 6 to 10 % Fat content instead of the usual 10 to 20 % of Ice Cream Okay back to the birthday plans...next she want to do a bit of gem and crystal shopping! WooHoo! (My sister designs beautiful custom made jewelry pieces that utilize both unique crystals and precious gems.) Following the shopping we'll all meet for dinner at Freesoul Caffe! And as for my group of 4, we'll stick to the plan as closely as possible, but we'll also be taking Dominic to his Saturday morning fitness class, and we've committed to have the kids perform for the HEMI Conference at the Disneyland hotel early this evening. So that is what our day will be like! As for last night Dave and I went out on our date, and we managed to even squeeze in seeing a movie (Blended) before dinner! I don't know how I managed, because I was quite a busy bee yesterday! Anyhow, I was hoping that I didn't shoot myself in the foot, by building up the Risotto in my head for the past few years..(I tend to do that), and then the following time I have it I don't care for it much! So dumb...but that's what I do! To get on with it - I didn't fully do that this time! YAY! I actually still very much enjoyed it. It was DELISH...(just maybe not AS delish as the last time) lol :-/ Hope you have a GREAT Saturday! You deserve it! -T |
