To continue from yesterday As I stood there waiting for Dave and Dominic to catch up with me and for us to go and warm up from the 7F temps. There was just no way that they could or should be taking as long as they were...
I figured that something must've happened, but what happened next is not something I could've ever imagined.
Being that Dave Y. is a novice skier and Dominic is an expert, I figured that Dave must've taken a spill.
I pulled my glove off and pulled my phone out of my pocket, immediately I saw several missed text messages from Dave Y.
Dominic had a fluke accident. He caught an edge and took a hard hit. He was hurt and didn't want to get up!
Some fellow skiers were calling ski patrol and I was on my way back up the mountain. I arrived seconds after the ski patrol and saw my boy on the ground and not moving.
Ski patrol was giving Dominic a basic check up before attempting to move him.

After assessing the situation they loaded Dominic on the toboggan and we headed down the mountain and to the clinic.

After a quick check up, we decided to head back to our hotel and use the RICE technique (Rest. Ice. Compression, Elevate).

Dominic suffered a minor knee sprain, but sadly is now out of commission. Dominic is in great spirits, but the entire situation has me a bit down, out and a bit depressed...As I am having flashbacks from my own set of knee injuries on the slopes.
