Today happens to be a milestone that only comes once in a century! Pi Day was dreamed up 27 years ago to celebrate 3.14 on 3/14, but this year the geek dial is being turned up to 15 — as in 3/14/15. And this'll be the only year until 2115 that you can turn the dial up to the max, at 3/14/15, 9:26:53, an exact match for pi's first 10 digits. (Credit NBC writer: Alan Boyle) PiDay.org states that: Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Learn more about Pi HERE Outside of mathematics let's chat about travel for a sec! Now that's my bag! But you already knew that! LOL Anyhow, I'm totally stoked that all the pieces of the upcoming travel puzzles are coming together... Yup, I'm checking things off of my list left and right! And, I'll fill ya in on all of the fun stuff on Travelin' Tuesday! As for Shoppin' Saturday... With my birthday, and Easter right around the corner, I've got quite the list of things to buy, and plenty of shopping ahead of me. Plus, if the weather is as HOT as it's suppose to be (record highs), then I'm gonna be absolutely and miserably HOT (as I was yesterday)! It's just terribly uncomfortable and I do look forward to relishing in the overly chilled air conditioned mall and all of the shopping therapy! However the shopping therapy will have to wait until after we start the day off by going to Nekter for some super healthy Fresh Juices and Acai Bowls on the way to the Aquarium of the Sea in Long Beach for Childrens Day and the kids performance with the International Peace Choir! And that's where we are off to and heading now, so I'm gonna say Ciao 4 Now! -T |
