Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 8 DAYS
Mother's & Daughter's
And when most people will have the problem of having to remember to write/type the new year (2016), I've been having the problem of writing/typing 2016 whilst still 2015 for a while already!
Go figure...I'm always working on plans for the future!
Speaking of which - lots of plans got set yesterday, but I will hold off on going into them with you until Travelin' Tuesday.
Today we will focus on Today and Yesterday - my Mother and my Daughter. (or the other way around!)
Today, New Year's Eve happens to be my Mum's Birthday.
Quite a day to be born on - she's got the entire world celebrating with her!!
But there are no BIG plans here, we prefer not to be on the road later in the day with all the "partiers" since a number of them tend to make poor decisions and drive drunk.
Please call Uber, or one of the AAA programs:
LIST OF DESIGNATED DRIVERS FOR NYE
OR
HOLIDAY SAFE RIDE PROGRAM
Following that, we will head to REI to get Dominic's new skis mounted, and to CBS Sports to pick up Cosette's leased skis - who else is getting excited about skiing?!
While out, we've got to pick up some snack-a-roos for tomorrows parade...
Did I mention that we are GOING TO THE 127th ROSE PARADE!!!
How cool are we?!
This will be our first time actually going to watch the parade in person...I ordered Grandstand Tickets way back in April! Woo to the Hoo!!!
Anyhow, back to today - then we will meet the rest of the gang at the Irvine Spectrum, go to the bookstore with the birthday gal and then to an early dinner at Kabuki Japanese Restaurant.
Once done with dinner, we'll head back home, probably play some games, and wait for the ball to drop while watching the BIG APPLE on the good ol' telly.
Everyone will click glasses with a CHEERS and ring in the New Year, and then not before too long my gang will need to hit the sack - we've got an early (very early) day tomorrow!!
Now as for my daughter...she came running down the stairs yesterday in excitement that she wanted to get her hair cut.
Have you, she had no appointment set, nor had she mentioned that she wanted it done on December 30th to anyone before that moment.
However she has been wanting to get her hair cut for a while, but since my mum (her grandmum) hates short hair and asked that she at least wait until after Christmas - that is what she did.
I called the salon and found an opening at 6pm, and the rest I'll show you in pictures:
FORBES reports "Locks Of Love: $6 Million Of Hair Donations Unaccounted For Each Year"
*I find this absolutely horrible and wish that more of the public knew the FAQS about this.
Plenty of good hearted people donate their hair and think that it is going to be DONATED to a worthy cause rather than paid for and turned into profit. SHAME ON LOCKS OF LOVE!
Anyhoo, Cosette LUVS her new do and I think she looks adorable!
Time for me to head on out...
See ya next year (tomorrow),
-T
