Elisa's Daily ScoopGetting the Weekend StartedHi there! How was your week? Are you gearing up for the weekend? My weekend actually started last night - I had a Girls' Night out with my sister, Danielle. We went to one of our regular local hang outs, which serves delicious Italian food with great music. The musical entertainment was a Frank Sinatra impersonator, who was rather good. Danielle and I were transformed back to our childhood days of driving in the car with my dad, listening to 8-track tapes of Ole Blue Eyes. It's amazing how we knew the words to every single song and all the Sinatra-esque inflections and phraseology. Of course, there was no lack of laughter either as me and my sis never tire of entertaining one another with our mutual wit and humor - lol. Well folks, as you know, today is Foodie Friday and it's my turn to share a memorable eating experience with you. One of the nicest meals I ever had was during my trip this past August to Tuscany, where I stayed at Il Borghetto in San Gimignano. The outdoor dining room, overlooking the beautiful greenery of the Tuscan hills was absolutely breathtaking and the homemade food was to die for! Please CLICK HERE to read about this memorable meal! The rest of my day today is pretty uneventful, as I will be doing errands and working on my screenplay with my sister. I hope the start of your weekend is going great!! See ya back here tomorrow for Shoppin' Saturday! -E | Tanya's Daily ScoopIt's a Fabulous Friday!Well HELLOOOOO there! How is everyone today? We are still in Quebec City and having just an absolutely fabulous time! It's been snowing since last night, and is forecasted to continue throughout the rest of the day and night. Just adding to the magic of this wonderful old city! Plus adding so insulation to the absolutely freezing temperatures that we've been experiencing since being here in Canada! Brrrr!!! Here's some SCOOP for ya: We had an adventure of a lifetime yesterday while out Dog Sledding! And I'll let you in on a little something... I CRASHED me sled into a TREE! No one was hurt, and you can read all about it HERE After our Dog Sledding Adventure, we headed to the frozen Montmorency Falls at Parc de la Chute-Montmorency. (CLICK HERE for more information) What a sight to be seen! We walked over the suspension bridge right over the crest of the falls which provides access to both sides of the park as well as an absolutely wonderful and spectacular view. Finally making our way back into the city, and then walking around and shopping before dinner. It was all quite lovely! And today is when the Winter Carnival begins!!! We'll be doing some more sight seeing before all of the festivities, and then come 7pm we'll be on site for the opening ceremonies, which will be followed by a grand firework display! I can't wait!!! And I'll tell ya all about it in tomorrow's Daily Scoop! Until then, please don't forget to read about the scrumptious meal that Elisa has done a review on for FOODIE FRIDAY! Mmmm, I'm hungry just thinking about it! Have an awesome day! -T |
