Elisa's Daily ScoopEventful Week AheadHey there and Hello!! New Week, New Work to be done!! How was your weekend? I had an opportunity to see my second Broadway show of 2015 - The Audience with Helen Mirren and a fan-tab-ulous cast of talented actors!! Today, catch MY REVIEW of this drama, currently at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on West 45th Street. I have lots on the agenda each day in the coming week. Today, I have tons of errands - believe it or not, Kelsey's communion was almost a year ago and I still haven't picked up her studio portraits!! So, I'll be doing that today. I also have an "appointment" mid-afternoon with Tanya via phone for us to work on a number of new "renovations" to our Travelin' Cousins site! I also have two Galas to go to this week. On Thursday, I will be attending a benefit for Angela's House, a non-profit organization that assists families caring for children with special healthcare needs that are medically fragile, chronically ill or living with a life-threatening illness. This is a wonderful organization and tickets to their Spring Gala here on Long Island (March 19th at 7PM) are still available at THIS LINK or the image below. Donations are also welcome as well!! Moving right along to the end of the week, next Saturday, we have the 75th Anniversary Gala for Gianna's and Kelsey's elementary school. So, needless to say, among the many other appointments and "to do's" I have, it will be a busy week!! This morning I'm headed over my coffee klatch at Starbucks with Denise. Now that the weather is getting nicer, we have resumed our morning get togethers!! I hope your week is starting off with a smile and happy thoughts!! Have a great day! -E xoxo | Tanya's Daily ScoopMonday Madness! So folks, at this time next week I will be sending you Greetings from the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores! As for today and this coming week I have plenty of chores to take care of for a few festive upcoming days... Tomorrow is - Saint Patricks Day - and Travelin' Tuesday! How much more fun can you get? Plus I will be posting a new Top 15 List - The Top 15 Facts about Saint Patricks Day! Thursday is - my 40th (shhh don't tell anyone how old I'm gonna be) Birthday! Holy Schnikes Batman! It sounds soooo OLD! Luckily I feel so young, and that's what counts! It also helps a great deal that no one ever guesses my age even close to what is really is...Whew! Guess it's good genes, because I've got some real HOTTIES in my family (you guys know who you are)! And then of course we have Friday - Foodie Friday and the day of our Departure! Yippie!!! I'm going to Paradise! But, don't let me get ahead of myself. Let's all just focus on Monday and the fact that we've got a beautiful brand new week ahead of us filled with lots of potential! For me today will be another long one. I need to make several runs to pick up items needed for before the trip, items needed for the kids while I'm away on the trip, items needed for the trip, items for St. Patricks day, items for my birthday, and items for Easter! Touch tanks and all, which I tried to be brave at and touch the Sting Rays (with their stingers trimmed), I got my arm in the tank. Yelped a wee bit. Waited for the Sting Ray, and then once it got close I screamed and yanked my hand/arm out of the water (splashing everyone around me and giving them all a good laugh)! Apparently I'm not all that brave! And just so ya know, Jet, Andrew, and Chaplin DID in fact make it out to the Aquarium of the Pacific yesterday to join us in exploration. By the way, the Aquarium was jam packed! I'm not sure if it was because of the International Children's Day Festival or what, but the lines just never ended, and the people just kept pouring in! We pretty much had just about our full of the crowds. After the Aquarium, we went for a late lunch - no big deal. I'm mentioning it however because I ordered a Thai Salad that said (SPICY) on the menu. Well, call me an big idiot because I don't really like overly spicy foods and this salad was not only the spiciest salad that I've ever had in my life, but one of the most spicy foods that I've ever eaten! My mouth was on FIRE! There were a few more chores left to do which included getting Dave B's luggage packed for the trip (his worst chore EVER), and then finally getting back home to cook and serve up a late dinner and discuss what it is that I want to have for dinner on my birthday... I'll let you know when I come up with it! Hope you shake those Monday blues and have a blissful day! -T |
