When you've had such a FUN FILLED WEEKEND who cares that it's Monday! I think this may very well be the trick! LOL
So tell me guys...did this month go by pretty fast? Is this year going by pretty fast?
I always have a rather tough time figuring that one out. Obviously time doesn't change speeds - I mean time really isn't even something that exists (outside of our minds).
So when it comes to the question of whether time has flying by or dragging is really all about our perspective.
And yet again I will tell you how I feel about it - when I look ahead at my calendar, I feel like time can go by pretty fast and that "Holy Smokes - it's already less than 3 months until Christmas!"
BUT - when I look at the dates that have past on the calendar and at my pictures, it amazes me with just how much I have done in such a short amount of time... "Holy Cow - that was this year?!?!"
So how "fast" or "slow" is time going for you???
Now, I'm gonna tell you just a bit about yesterday (just a bit below) - but only because I am saving the REAL SCOOP for FOODIE FRIDAY!
While I'm here typing away, I have my suitcase staring at me (no my suitcase doesn't actually have eyes - but go with it..) because I haven't still completely unpacked from getting back 2 weeks ago from my wonderful trip to the Caribbean!
Maybe I'm still on Island time???
And if you've been keeping track (which I hope that you have been) - SUBSCRIBE already.. I have already gone on one weekender out of town - which I will soon be publishing 'Ballooning, Biking, and Baseball'. Now that was a fun weekend!
B. This past weekend was semi local, but definitely quite FUN!
While I will assume that you read all about Saturday, I'll tell you a little about yesterday... Sunday was my tasting day - for those of you that don't know - I have another blog/instagram/fb all about being a vegan and how exciting the food can truly be!
I have a plethora of information and I have traveled the globe and continue to do so "one vegan meal at a time... Living the Joys of being a Vegan!"
While it has just been way too time consuming (thus far) to maintain both blogs, as well as my life outside of clicking away - much of my information remains unpublished - and instead I get contacted directly for reviews, helpful hints and information by the vegan community.
So back to yesterday...it was a tasting day! Cosette was still out of sorts with her sunburn, but the moment the Dominic heard that there was food involved he jumped at the opportunity to come along!
First stop was GROW Coffee & Tea in Anaheim, CA - where it's definitely more than just a cuppa Joe.. You can get coffee-educated! And the flavors and aromas were just so wonderful and robust! A fairly new shop and a coffee lovers dream! You'll be spitting out your Starbucks after sipping any one of the many roasts that are available daily. More info to come!
I had a Kyoto!
We then drove up to LA on our foodie quest!
Our second stop was at Vromage - vegan gourmet cheese shop in Los Angeles. This had been on my vegan bucket list and IS a MUST try! - This was waaaaay beyond just a visit - this was an experience! Nuf said at the moment... FOODIE FRIDAY and Published Vegan Bucket List COMING SOON!
Stop number three was at Sun Cafe in Studio City - 2015 Winner of OpenTable Diner Choice award and another one that was on my list of places to try and this is another one that will eventually be a Future FOODIE FRIDAY Feature.
And then quite full, we pretty much headed back home, took a break and then went back out to try and get some Christmas shopping ideas! That was a very basic review of my Sunday, which was AWESOME!
So both last week and this week the kids have been on vacation from choir rehearsal (kinda...they have rehearsal on Friday). But since there was no rehearsal last Monday - I was messed up all week long as to what day of the week it was! Hopefully this doesn't happen to me again this week... And since there is no rehearsal tonight, Dominic is again going to take a couple of extra classes that he normally misses. That is how my night is gonna be spent!
And now, with Travelin' on my mind, I best get to packin'!
Catch y'all tomorrow on the Daily Scoop!
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 27 DAYS
Hope your week is starting off fabulously!
My week is starting after coming off of a great Sunday evening last night at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center with The Bronx Wanderers!
I'd heard so much about this group from my friend John, who grew up with the band's lead, Vinny on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. He told me how talented they all were - particularly, Vinny's sons, Vinny Jr. and Nicky.
But, I have to tell you, I was blown away!!! The talent on the stage last night was mind boggling.
The band featured songs of the 50's, 60's and 70's, as well as a few modern "classics" like Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk.
I was lucky enough to have a front row seat - which was amazing!! I was singing and dancing throughout the entire concert!
Me and my bestie, Lisa

Thanks to mom's oldies cd collection, my girls were singing along to the Four Season's medley and some of the other songs performed!
I had a chance to meet Vinny and his two sons, after the show and snag a few photos! CLICK HERE for the show schedule around the country!
I will be featuring a full review on our Entertainment page which should be up later today.

So, as we were walking back to the car last night, after this great show, I took a nasty flop in the street. Wearing very high heels in the dark, I guess I misjudged walking off the curb and down I went!
I had my good camera and was most concerned about its well being, not really focusing on me.
Once I got up (with the help of Lisa and Tedd), and started to walk, I realized my knee was scraped up and in pain. Fortunately, I always carry a first aid kit in the car, so I wrapped up my bloody bruise with gauze, until I could wash and dress it better once at home.
Today, it's feeling a little stiff, but, I'm on the mend.

The girls had their last full day of horseback riding camp today for the Summer of 2015. I'll be heading over to the barn this afternoon to watch and film them riding.
We'll be heading back to Nassau later this afternoon with one more day left before they start school on Wednesday.
