Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 2 DAYS
That Dress!!!
Well I spent most of yesterday dealing with laundry and packing.
Yet I'm still actually not packed in my suitcase, I pretty much have everything ready to go. It's a short little getaway that's gonna be awesome.
It you didn't realize, Portland is like a Vegan Haven.
It's a fairly small city, very cycle friendly, and incredibly vegan friendly...which totally works for me!
I've got so many food stops on my list (it's actually kinda crazy).
But I've never tried some of these places, some have been recommended, and others I've been to and can't wait to go back!
Plus if you can believe it - I'm already thinking about my NEXT trip to Portland (it'll be a Pacific Northwest Road Trip) with the kiddos - one that will not be a mountain biking trip (you know how much Cosette hates mountain biking).
Anyhoo, back to this trip - there will be plenty of mountain biking as well as breakfasts, lunches, treats, dinners, desserts, late night snacks and more...I hope that I can manage!!
But I'm definitely up for the challenge!
And if I didn't mention to you, tomorrow is also very much about food - I've got a ton of grocery shopping to do...and if you know me, I'm not one to shop at the huge supermarkets. Instead I go to several specialty shops to get all of the gourmet, vegan, and organic food that are on my list. And boy oh boy is my list a long one!
I'll be shopping for the 4th of July and you should know by know how much we like to feast on such occasions! I'll be posting our menu on the day of - be sure to check it out.
Then after all the shopping is done, I'll be picking up dinner to go from good ol' FREESOUL CAFFE and then we'll be driving down to San Diego to see the home team Padres take on my home team Yankees (both teams are really sucking so far this season - oh well) but I'm sure it is going to be a lot of fun!
This will be my first game of the season, if you can believe that...and quite possibly my only game of the season (not counting the MLB All Star festivites)- as this year it seems that my calendar is clashing with quite a few events.
With all that we miss out on, it's a wonder that I/we can actually do as much as do when we are local! The magic of good scheduling and planning ahead!
Although as I've said it before, sometimes I really wish (like all the time) that other venues and events would have their calendars out as far as mine is.
Now talking about calendars going out pretty far, let's instead turn around and go back.
Back in time...
Exactly one year ago today I was on Elisa and my Euro Rail Trip and we were enjoying the city of Krakow, Poland.
I really loved Krakow, so much more than I could've imagined, and without this initial visit, I wouldn't have been so eager to go back and do a Germany/Poland and more Road Trip (scheduled for 2018)!

I'm even wearing the same dress in a couple of these pics!:
Catch ya back here tomorrow,
