Blue Skies over Chicago
Hellooooo out there and GREETINGS once again from the windy city of Chicago!
What a beautiful day it was. And we took full advantage of it. We started our day by taking a stroll down Michigan Ave. or better known as Magnificent Mile.
We decided we were in the mood for some Acai Bowls and found a cute little place that wasn't too far.
I experienced a bit of sticker shock though -
Ordering the most expensive Acai Bowls of my life...
2 bowls + tip = $34. WOWZERS!!!
Luckily they were exceptional and the strange thing is that I'd go back. :)

We sat and enjoyed our bowls sitting on the stairs at the Chicago Riverwalk.
The main attraction of the day for me was actually taking a tour of the Chicago Cultural center and checking out the World's Largest Tiffany stained-glass dome, as well as the beautifully ornate multi-colored mosaics, Vermont marble and molding throughout the historic building.
Next up was lunch and this was Cosette's favorite attraction of the day - actually eating at Upton's Breakroom... She LOVED it.
It was pretty darn tasty and I think we (Chicago and I) have scored big with this one because this place has won Cosette over and she now likes Chicago!!!
Next up was an appointment at the salon and then getting rained on because we forgot our umbrellas!

We checked out Water Tower Place - was one of the first vertical malls in the world and the building's most famous full-time resident is Oprah Winfrey.
What I found really cool was the interior fountain between the escalators leading from the North Michigan Avenue lobby were also updated with a tiered "pop jet" fountain with cascading waterfalls and balls of water, controlled by computer-based choreography.
All that was left was dinner and digging our teeth into some quite DELISH Chicago style pizza!
Now to get on with all of today's adventures!!!
