Elisa's Daily ScoopGoodbye Boca RatonWell today me and the girls are headed back to New York! After 15 days of being away, I will be saying hello to my home sweet home later today. Our flight is early today, out of Fort Lauderdale in order to arrive back to New York by mid-day. I wanted the kids to have most of the weekend to settle in before the routine of school begins. The exciting news is that I will be leaving for Las Vegas this coming Thursday! This weekend, I need to unpack from Florida and then re-pack for my trip this week. The good news for the kids is that they are off from school next Friday when I'm away, so I know they will be happy to not have their usual routine when I'm gone. I just have to say that I'm so happy I decided to extend my Florida trip an additional week to spend in Boca with my Mom and Dad -- the warmth, sunshine, relaxation and connecting with my folks was just what the doctor ordered!! Well, folks, this is a real short one since I have to get going. Next Daily I'll be talking to you from New York!! Don't forget to vote: ---->>>>---->>>>----->>>>---->>>> -E xoxo P.S.: I'm currently sitting at the gate at Fort Lauderdale Airport with the girls. Our flight boards at 9:49am and we are just relaxing. (Gianna didn't want to be in this picture.) | Tanya's Daily ScoopOh what a Night!!!Howdy everyone! I woke up this morning at the Famous Beverly Hills Hotel where else but in Beverly Hills, CA. And now we're about ready to head out to Old Chinatown to do the Firecracker Bike Ride! Let me catch you up a little bit... After doing all of my odds and ends at home yesterday morning, I took Cosette to the stables for a ride. (This was the third time we went to the stables this week!) We went straight home after the ride, so that I could change & put my "face" on before heading to the salon - had to go get my hair did! Lol Dave met me at the salon and got himself all prettied up for our date weekend. Then a quick stop at Mother's Market and Kitchen for a few supplies and then straight up to Los Angeles for our dinner reservations at Gracias Madre. Somehow we managed to avoid hitting the usual horrendous mess of traffic that these Southern Californian freeways are known for! Thank Heavens!! Arriving for our reservations just in the nick of time; we were led a semi quiet table in a very noisy restaurant, handed menus and just as I began to look over the various selections the host had come back and had delivered a gorgeous fresh floral arrangement with a card that read: "Dearest Tanya, A Bouquet for a Beautiful Woman to start off our weekend of surprises and magic! Loving You Always, Dave" Following a lovely and quite delicious meal (of which I'll happily be reviewing at a later date), I very curiously watched as Dave drove to our "secret" hotel. We pulled up to the Famous and Historic Beverly Hills Hotel and were escorted to our "home away from home"! Upon walking in, there I would find yet another amazingly and fragrant floral bouquet! What a thoughtful and romantic guy! Well, by this time we were totally ready to relax, enjoy our suite, and hit the sack. Albeit we didn't actually go to bed until almost 2am - I mean who really needs much sleep before a long bike ride in the morning?! Anyhoo, once the lights were out and we had just began to doze off... The fire alarm started blaring with an announcement that all occupants must proceed to the nearest exit at once! ugh! So there we were amongst our neighbors all donned in our robes and/or jammies, with bedheads and heading down via staircase to the garage! FALSE ALARM - thank God! You really have no idea just how often this exact situation has happened to me! And that ladies and gents was my night! We'll see what "surprises" are in store for me today... But for now it's time to go start pedaling!! Wishing you a totally fabulous Saturday, -T Btw - I totally forgot to pack a sports bra. Boo! |
