Day 2 - RomeBuongiorno!! Here we are - day 2 in Roma. I have to admit, we are a little tired and as Mom put it - we feel like we've been drugged. Jet lag is not enjoyable!! This was a picture of us last night after taking naps, sitting around the lovely dining room table on our electronic devices. We opted to eat in since we were tired and Tedd was ever so helpful by "putting up the pot" for a homemade pasta dinner! We took a nice walk over to the Piazza Novona for some gelato! Mmmmmmmm! This area was really hoppin' this evening - musicians, lots of people around the square dancing, singing and taking pictures. We sat in one of the cafes and just took it all in. I had pistachio (I know, I'm boring - my default flavor), Kelsey ordered chocolate cake but it was doused in Grand Marnier and she did not like it so she switched with Tedd who ordered Vanilla (gelato). Mom had the hazelnut and Gianna tried the mint. A taste of all for me!! After finishing the deliciousness, we walked around this wonderful area capturing the mood. Unfortunately, the evening pictures of St. Agnes Church were way too dark so I'll grab some photos in the daytime tomorrow. Tomorrow we will be having an easy going day - a great breakfast of baked goods that we bought today and then some strolling around. I'd like to walk over to the Trevi Fountain and The Spanish Steps. Later in the afternoon, we'll be meeting our Rome tour guide for a lovely drive around Rome, stopping at a few historic sites, including The Colosseum, The Pantheon and the Crypt of the Cappuccini. Can't wait to tell you all about it! BUONA GIORNATA BELLISSIMA! -E | Day 2 - London |
