BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Busy times
Howdy Folks!
YES it's actually meeeeee. Travelin' Tanya here.
I have no excuses to make. I can't even go on to explain how busy I've been.
I miss not coming on here, even to just bop in. Know that I'm trying to work on a schedule that works to have me back on here daily!!! For now let's work on just playing a bit of catch up... A week ago - HERE'S where I went from San Francisco to San Diego (in pics). And a week before that was looking back at Jet's birthday - A Birthday Recap Now to fast forward to where I've been and what I've been doing since last Sunday - Sunday, Cosette and some friends planned to go ice skating. I too took to the ice and hung out skating with a couple of my friends!
Monday was a local day - errands, running around and choir.
Then as of Tuesday I was off and running again and on my way to Boise, Idaho...
Once landed. It was a quick check in and then off to play in Downtown Boise and hangout with my birthday twin cousin 'Jimmy'.
Much catching up, laughter and stories told over dinner and then it was time to take a stroll around downtown Boise.
One of the highlights was Freak Alley -
Locally known as Freak Alley it is limited to one long alley along with the walls of a connected gravel parking lot.
Collectively it has the works of more than 200 artists and the murals are painted over and either replaced or incorporated into anew every 2 years!! It was very cool and the area was so well maintained.
After a night of a lovely visit. It time to say good night and until next time to Jimmy. We went back to our hotel and called it a night.
Gotta run to the store - more to come...Tomorrow -Travellin' Tanya |
Signs from Heaven and Private Jet Service for Pets
Hi There!
Coming at you from Long Island and the gorgeous sunshine! Yesterday, I spent a lovely day at the LifeTime pool with my girl Gianna. I don't know if it's a teen thing, but my Kelsey is just not that into hanging out with mom and sis these days The only thing that takes her out of the comfort of her room is the prospect of food! If there is a meal in sight, she will sluggishly join us. If not, then she prefers to stay home and binge watch her latest show obsession. This week it's Glee. This morning, I went outside to let Punkin out to do her business and sitting very calmly and relaxed was this adorable bird. I guess it's in the pigeon family.
As someone who is very spiritual and does not believe in coincidences, I was struck with how this little guy (or gal) was perfectly content to sit still, no matter how close I got to it.
In fact, not only did it just stay there for the longest time, but it actually looked at me and ruffled it's lovely feathers several time. If I tell you - this little creature kept looking directly at me, gently turning its head from side to side as if to say, "Hi, how are you today?" Well, I personally believe that the veil to "the other side" is very thin and that our loved ones are always giving us signs that they are with us. I decided to make the assumption that this friendly bird was a sign from my Dad. He loved hanging out in the garden and he knew how much I loved bird watching. So, I went on for about 25 minutes telling him what I had been up to since he left this earth and even had a few laughs and tears while chatting to him. If I tell you, this little bird didn't budge except for the occasional head bop at me as if to acknowledge what I was saying. In fact, I had to go back in with Punkin, and said goodbye and that I hoped he would visit again soon. But, the bird remained. Peering out from my back doors, I could see that the remained for another five minutes. And speaking of animals... I read the craziest story in Travel and Leisure this week! For all of those travelers who have dogs too large to ride in the cabin, the alternative is to have your beloved pet ride in cargo, which has so many risks. Well, finally, a forward-thinking (and apparently, animal loving company) has come up with a revolutionary concept. According to T&L, "Business aviation company VistaJet on Wednesday announced the launch of a new animal companion service, called VistaPet. VistaPet is the “most comprehensive and considered program for pets in the air,” according to the company, which collaborated with veterinarians, pet groomers, dietitians, and animal coaches to create an over-the-top luxurious travel experience for pampered animal travel companions." Considering that Vistajet is a private air carrier, I'm sure the cost is going to be a bit higher than your average economy ticket.
However, for those individuals who like to fly in style and also have the option of bringing along their pet(s), this is a great option! Vista jet was founded in 2004, based on the concept to give travelers access to a fleet of over 70 aircraft around the globe, while paying only for the hours they need. j According to their website, "To date, VistaJet passengers have flown to over 1,900 airports in 96% of the world's countries, making it the first and only global aviation company." Pretty interesting!!! Now I'm off to enjoy some of this delicious sunshine!! - Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
