Elisa's Daily ScoopThrowin it Back and Moving ForwardI'm happy to report I had a fantastic day in NYC yesterday. Skylight on Broadway was excellent and both Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan were captivating on stage. I met up with my Aunt Ro around 12:30 in front of Pergola des Artists on West 46th Street and had a FAB-ulous lunch! She had the Brook Trout and I had Eggplant Napoleon. Both were served with carrots and string beans and mine came with a small side of linguine. I was tempted to order dessert, but in the end, we both passed. The John Golden Theatre was just around the block and our timing couldn't have been more perfect. In the past, I've opted to print my tickets at home, but lately, my choice is to have them held at the box office for pick up the day of the show. I find that it requires one less thing to think about. This theatre is one of the smaller ones, making for good visibility. My seats were center orchestra, Row O with a perfect view. With the weather a near perfect day - sunny, dry and relatively mild, I enjoyed an invigorating walk up 7th Avenue from Penn Station to and from the theatre. I just love being in the city on these kind of days! I'll be reviewing Skylight with in the next week for you, so stay tuned! Today is also Throwback Thursday. I decided to re-post an earlier article I wrote back in July 2014, featuring my trip to Honfleur, France in 2013. This article was also featured on Ezines as well. With the warm weather approaching, the seaside town of Honfleur is a perfect destination. Click here for Honfleur: A Charming French Seaside Town. As for my day today, I'll be heading out to Remsenburg to meet my friend Lisa, to do some fix-ups on my rental house, to get it into shape for selling. Looking forward, I want to sell this house and perhaps make some real estate investments with the proceeds. We'll see where this all leads!! We're hopeful that we will be featuring the house in her magazine, East End Living in May. An so it goes - never a dull moment!! Hope you're day is a great one!! -E xoxo | Tanya's Daily ScoopDreams into RealityHow you doing? I'm feeling a bit of fabulous over here and I'm willing to share ;) Nothing too exciting to report on my end. Managed to begin tackling the switch out of winter to summer mounds of clothes! This is definitely a good sized task, especially doing it for 3 people and when I'm such a clothes horse! More to do today...and probably for a few days to come! We also went out as a small army (my mom, Brigitte, Jet, Chaplin, Dominic, Cosette, Dave B, and myself) to Kohl's for a successful bit of shopping. Took Dominic to his class, and I didn't doze off! LOL I banged out the first day of my 100 day Fitness Challenge of 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, and 100 jumping jacks like a piece of cake! Yay GO ME!! Who's with me out there? I certainly didn't get too many takers over here...although the one person who needs it the least (isn't that always the case) showed interest. That would be Dominic - he is an exercise BEAST! *I like to thank myself for that (patting myself on the back). I have always emphasized good health and fitness to this kiddo. Somehow Cosette missed these classes or maybe it was my fault... Who knows? But whatever the case she is not a big fan of exerting herself. Hence the reason she has decided to stay at home when Dave B, Dominic, and myself go on the Road Trip to Moab and Southwestern National Parks - as there will be plenty of mountain biking and hiking happening on that holiday! As of yesterday we've also managed to check another thing off of my "to do" list and book our Las Vegas accommodations for that trip which DEPARTS on May 1st. We booked the Wynn which is no real surprise, being that we usually stay either there or at the Encore, and that we are always there for all of our meals anyhow. (Another trip that I'm totally excited and stoked about!) I've also been working on the logistics of our Pre-Cousins Road Trip to Yellowstone (prior to us meeting up with Elisa and the girls). To remind you, the kids and I are extending our trip and going to make a loop of it - going to San Francisco, CA; Eugene, OR; and Portland, OR. All before driving across the states of Oregon and Idaho and finally into Wyoming and Jackson Hole where we will begin our Cousins journey through the 2 National Parks (Grand Tetons & Yellowstone). That trip DEPARTS and we leave in 12 days and I'm totally stoked! The first few days of our trip we will be in absolute Vegan Heaven! The cities we will be touring are known for being Vegan Meccas! And we are literally doing a massive vegan food tour! All of our reservations have been made. Come back on Travelin' Tuesday for a list of all our planned stops! The kids are gonna be so amazed! Which is all totally awesome, but once we leave Portland, we are kinda going through a Vegan desert... I've travelled to Jackson Hole on a few prior occasions and can manage at 1 or 2 dining establishments; however once we get into West Yellowstone the story changes (and besides who ever knew West Yellowstone as being a Foodie destination?!); Sooo luckily we've rented a vacation condo for us all to share, that is fully equipped with a full size kitchen! Breakfasts in, Dinners in, and packed lunches to go. So we are all good! Next step for me is meal planning for the trip, which I'm pretty accustom to. And as for today, it's TBT and Elisa is treating you with a lovely story that she's posted about Honfleur, France. CLICK HERE to read. Such a very lovely place! I really love it there...plus they have the absolute BEST bretzels anywhere! My mouth is drooling just thinking about them! As for us, Cosette has a Horseback riding lesson, Dominic has a busy night of classes, and I've got lots to still work on. So I will bid you adieu, and catch ya back here tomorrow for a FOODIE FRIDAY delight! -T PS - please remember to VOTE for us --->>> One click is all it takes :) |
