Today is the last day of Summer (and it's suppose to be a scorcher) and yet another busy day for us over here in Southern California..
*Realized late in the day that today was NOT the last day of summer & that Tuesday is! LOL
The kids have their annual performance at the LA County Fair TODAY which is sure to be loads of fun!
But first, I have to run out and take care of a few errands that are pertaining to their costumes. Why oh why did I wait until the last minute to do this stuff?! And with that coming off of a Fun Filled Friday, and and Super Spectacular Saturday (finally getting home last night around 3am).
I guess those are just the wacko hours that I keep. I am not a big fan of sleep (unless I'm sleeping!) But in all seriousness, I hate the idea of naps, I don't like going to bed early (even when I have an early event the following morning), and I don't like waking up late either. I like keeping busy. So that's what I do.
And yesterday was no different... Although I must admit that the beginning of my day didn't quite start out on a very happy note. I happened to find out that the original title of my FOODIE FRIDAY was inaccurate, and I wanted to fix that, so I did. But then I realized that the hyperlink didn't change. So no biggie, I'll change the hyperlink. UGH - What a mess I made.
Being that I changed the hyperlink that erased all of the love that was given to the page in the shape of 'FB likes' Twitter 'tweets' and comments. I was very upset by this (to say the least).
My own personal FB status was now that I wanted to step of my phone and throw my computer out the window! I screwed up all of the networking that I did with the original page by killing the hyperlink - so I needed to go back to each link and add the new one CLICK HERE. Well all I can say is LESSON LEARNED.
By that point this whole mess had put me behind schedule and after taking Dominic to his class, I found myself in a huge hurry to get ready and finally head out to the wedding of my friends Micki and Kevin.
Man stress SUCKS!
After sitting in traffic and taking nearly 2 hours, wondering where we were and driving to the boondocks to get to the Condors Nest Ranch, we finally arrived with only 5 minutes to spare before the "start time". Whew!
This was my first time attending a "Rustic Wedding" and it was very unique, charming and well put together. Albeit the ground wasn't quite even, but luckily I didn't roll my ankle or trip on my rather tall shoes even once! Yay me!
The ceremony was beautiful and Micki looked gorgeous! Actually as she began to walk down the aisle I found myself getting all choked up! THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME at a wedding before yesterday! I definitely needed a tissue. I was all sniffly and teary eyed. I was a complete mess, but at least my make up didn't run!
My friend Sarah, and meeting baby Eleanor for the first time!
After a much fun reception, and catching up with some friends that I hadn't seen in a few years...but there no dancing (for us) - Dave dances and I dance - but we DON'T ever dance together.
Then it was about time for us to head on out, and drive another hour further south to go see my cousin Jimmy! He had an unexpected weekend trip to San Diego (from FL) and I found out about it once he landed on Friday!
So as luck would have it, the wedding was kinda sorta in San Diego, so I was already going to be out in that direction and of course I wanted to go see him. We only had time to hang out at the hotel for a short while, as it was already getting late - we still had a long drive home and he had a early morning wake up call. But it was great to catch up and see each other in person (it had been a few years).
Me and Jimmy
And now we have Sunday, well we are gonna end the summer with a bang and you'll get to hear all about that in tomorrow's SCOOP!
I'll catch ya later, -T
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 5 DAYS
Well, Hello All!!
I hope your Sunday is as relaxing as mine. Boy, was it nice to sleep in this morning! Haven't had a day to just wake up when I'm done sleeping in a while!!
Today is going to be a bit of a catch-up day. Food shopping for the week, laundry, overseeing the kids with some weekend homework.
