BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Recap of an IPC Sunday and heading to Denver...Again!
Hi there! I'm coming at you from the road once again.
Started out from SoCal this morning and heading to Denver, which if you recall...I just returned from Denver last Thursday! Well that was really only a day trip, where this one is for a week, but it has several more cities for me to hit. And one more baseball game - in Dallas...one of the last 4 stadiums/ball parks that I still have yet to visit. So I'm sure that you can imagine that I'm pretty stoked. After I visit Globe Life Park in Arlington, that will be 2 new stadiums for me in 2019. Which is AWESOME! Of course there will be many other eventful stops along the way that I will be sharing with you in both story and pictures. So please stay tuned. I will certainly try to bop on here as often as possible (hopefully on the Daily), but just in case I do not - please be sure to follow us on FaceBook - which just happens to be faster for me to post a few pictures on when I am having one of those crazy days... As far as yesterday went, I thought we only had one performance commitment - the LA County Fair. But NOOOOOO... While driving back from Scottsdale on Saturday, I had received a message from our executive director asking if Cosette was in fact coming to the performance. Yes Cosette was and so were we! It was soon figured out that I missed a message about a 2nd and earlier performance at The Nixon Library and Birthplace for the private event for the Ode to Peace, Celebrating 70 years of the People's Republic of China. As well as a celebration of the Establishment of the Relations between the United States and China.
After a very successful morning performance. We were on the move from Yorba Linda to Pomona and to the LA Fair...
Then after a lovely performance at the LA Fair with the International Peace Choir, we went to see the photographs that my girl (Cosette) entered in this years photography contest.
And drumroll please.... This year out of 4 entries she won 3 second place ribbons and 1 first place ribbon!
Our day at the fair had to be cut short since Cosette had to get to work. But since we (my mom, me, Dave B. and Dave Y., Dominic and Cosette) were pretty much all quite hungry we opted to stop at the vegan restaurant Madre Terra for a yummy and filling lunch.
Then with perfect timing (as usual) we headed off to get Cosette back to our neck of the woods and to work just in time for her shift.
The remainder of the afternoon and into the night was filled with shopping to fill the fridge and cabinets for the fam bam while I'm gone on this trip. Then I also had laundry, packing, cooking dinner and catching some of the NYY vs BOS game - my Yankees won & dinner was delicious if I may say so myself! *Sorry for the late posting - I've had very iffy signal at best here on the road and it's been beyond frustrating. Until tomorrow??? (fingers crossed) -Travelin' Tanya |
