NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 44 DAYS
I hate when this happens..
HOLY SMOKES FOLKS - did you see that?! My next trip doesn't depart for 44 days!!!
I do declare that I believe that is the LONGEST span that I've been home since the end of November (last year)!
What am I gonna do with myself?!
I'm sure I'll manage to keep busy and spend my time wisely (AKA planning trips).

Just as of yesterday I finally confirmed our stay in Sedona (Nov.) though I'm not sure why it took me so long to book that...
I also realized some not so good news, which cause me to have to cancel an upcoming trip... Ya see, since last year Dave had told me about the Red Bull Rampage Mountain Biking Competition, which takes place right outside of Zion National Park.
Right off the bat I was looking for the dates for this years event. However, each and every time that I'd take a look there would be no date posted.
I hate when this happens - when I'm ready to plan something and the event doesn't have confirmed dates or the hotels don't have the dates available - yet (this happens with the airlines too).
Then only just recently were the dates posted! YAY
I was glad that I "guessed" them correctly and that I had my reservations all booked and ready to go. It did however mean Dave and I were going to miss out on a Halloween (Costume event) that the kids would be going to - that if we were in town for we'd be dressing up for as well!
And then it happened. I took a peek just to be sure that I had the dates correctly booked and I saw that the event is SOLD OUT!!!

I looked further into it and saw that tickets went on sale on Aug. 23rd and that they sold out in 10 minutes. This definitely sucks!
No where on the site had it said that this was a ticketed event or was there any indication that tickets would be made available. And now we are shut out and will not be able to go see this event. Hopefully it works out better for us next year!
Well, as you can see I'm back home and luckily the temps have gone down.
It's certainly still HOT, just not sweltering.
Yesterday's SCOOP is still not up yet - but I've finally got the pics uploaded and it should be ready to post soon. I'll add a link here just as soon as it's up.
I'm gonna head out to pick up Mika from school and do some shopping before taking Dominic to his class later tonight.
