Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN LAS VEGAS
A bit of VEGAS show & tell!
GREETINGS FROM THE FABULOUS LAS VEGAS!
I've got so many pictures to share with you today, that it's gonna be a bit of show and tell...
Yesterday was like a taste of Las Vegas for us! From the moment we arrived, we headed straight for Garden Grill which is located at Fresh52 Farmer's Market for a much anticipated (was on my list of restaurants to try) brunch. The food looked great and the reviews were awesome!
While standing in line, I thought I had recognized someone - but the funny thing about this day and age, is that you might be often recognizing people that you've never met before!
As mentioned in the past, I have a Vegan Instagram page and follow a lot of "Food Porn", well I felt that I recognized someone that I've seen before on certain posts - another vegan foodie/chef! So after we ordered and grabbed a seat, I started searching Instagram and asking the kids if they thought that this fellow foodie was the one in the pictures that I had showed them...
At first they weren't quite sure, but then my little Instagram princess (who of course has a horse account of her own and tons of followers) had confirmed that it was him when she saw me in his most recent Instagram post! LOL
I approached him and we made our introductions and started chatting... What a small little world!
Then I went back to eat our super yummy brunch!
Next up was Ronald's Donuts - which I have mentioned just about every time that I've visited Las Vegas - because NO TRIP TO VEGAS SHOULD BE WITHOUT A VISIT to Ronald's!
We got our box of goods!
Although we had just munched on a few donut holes - Dave polished off his entire bag-o-donut-holes! It was time for a treat... We were heading to Perfect Scoop Ice Cream and Boba Shop for the very first time!
Neither this place nor Ronald's are 100% vegan, so it's always a nice surprise to come across so many options!!! There were probably at least 8-10 different vegan flavors to choose from, so what's a girl to do...
Start sampling! From the very first flavor I tried (Banana Split) each one was so good that it was tough to decide what to get!
And out last stop before checking in, was the ICONIC LAS VEGAS sign!!!
And then we headed to our resort...
Arriving at the Palazzo, and then checking in, only to realize that I booked us at the neighboring and sister property The Venetian! DUH
The kids and the donuts - waiting for us to check in.
Once in our suite, I gave these guys a bit of a break to recharge their batteries. Cosette and Dave napped, Dominic exercised, and I...well you know me - I kept busy!
Our evening activities included going to see Anthony Cools (the comedy hypnotist and the kids choice), only to find out that I screwed up again - the show is for the 18+ crowd and from the preview video that plays outside of the theatre you can certainly tell that it is a bit raunchy! I'm sooooo not into raunch! So of course we had to adjust the plans, exchange the tickets (new show planned for tonight), and then we headed to dinner, and ended the night by visiting Fremont Street and watching the Viva Vision Light Show at Fremont Street Experience.
The Viva Vision video screen is 1,500 feet long, 90 feet wide! The world's LARGEST screen!
And while the show was fun, the rest of the atmosphere and street "performers" were just too much...Let's just say that it was definitely an experience and not our cup of tea!
Back to the resort we went, and off to bed... We've got another BIG BUSY DAY today...which you'll hear (read about) and see in tomorrow's DAILY SCOOP!
Hope that you're having and continue to have a Mighty Fine Weekend!
See ya tomorrow, -T
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 19 DAYS
Lovin' Remsenburg, NY
It's Sunday and what a glorious day!!
Yesterday was beautiful too! Boy, did we luck out here on Long Island this Labor Day weekend.
Today I have a slight chance in plans. Originally, I was going to attend the Westhampton Art Show, but opted instead to do some serious biking this morning and then head back to Nassau to join bestie Maria for dinner in the "city" (NYC, that is) for dinner!
We'll be joined by another couple as well. Manhattan is usually pretty empty on a holiday weekend, so it should be a breeze going in this evening.
YESTERDAY... the girls did their riding. Both girls are progressing great. I'm hopeful that my sweeties will be able to show next year, if they keep improving with their riding skills.
Gianna on All-Star
