Hump Day already!!
Well, over here, it's the second day back to school for Kelsey and Day 1 for Gianna, who is not only starting a new school year, but a whole new school as a freshman in high school!!
Kelsey - yesterday - her first day as a 7th Grader (c) travelincousins.com
Gianna this morning - first day as a High School Student (c) travelincousins.com
It's crazy to think - where did the time go??? I wasn't really thinking about it until I posted these pictures to the blog that I started getting a lump in my throat about how my girls are getting grown up.
One thing I will NEVER regret is how I have been with them EVERY SINGLE DAY - sharing every moment of their lives! They are my greatest gift and no matter what, it has been my greatest joy being their mom.
(Of course, those words my not come out of my mouth the next time they piss me off! lol)
Going to be a very exciting year with lots of new things for both my girls and their mom!
With another nutty day here, I want to get to the good stuff that I have in store for you this week, so here I go...
Among a few others, I will be bringing you a few list-based articles, as I try to do each day about different places around the globe.
Additionally, this Friday, I'll be featuring a few foodie-based articles. The first, about an up and coming Vegan sweet bakery, The Uptown Vegan (which will also be featured in ThisIsTheBronx.info).
The second will highlight Long Island's Food for Thought Healthy Cafe in Garden City, a 35-year multi-generational family eatery!
Lastly, but certainly not least, coming Saturday, we'll be welcoming a new guest blogger, Aletha Joseph Simon and her special article about mountain biking. It will coincide with Tanya's upcoming trip "Tour de Tahoe" this weekend. So STAY TUNED!!
Daycation FUN! I'll be doing a little "daycationing" on Sunday in the Bronx with my girls to the Ferragosto in Little Italy.
Taking place from on Arthur Avenue between Crescent Avenue and 187th Street this Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 12 Noon – 6 PM, my trio will be enjoying the festivities, which will clearly include food!!
Rain or shine we'll be there and I'll have a full write up about this Italian celebration next week, with a follow up feature in ThisIsTheBronx.info next Friday (September 14th).

Kids' Passport Renewal
OMG! We finally have all the documents together to renew the girls' passports this week. Yay!!
We'll be going tomorrow after school to the local passport office to take care of this task.
I'm so happy we will not have to worry about this for another five years, at which point, Gianna will be over 18 and be ready for an adult passport which is valid for 10 years. As minors, a passport is only valid for five years, so it requires the signatures of both parents. For more information on Getting Your United States Passport, CLICK HERE.
Ok my lovelies, I'm out of here to get my chores done before the girls need to be picked up - half days today.
Have a great one!! -E

Chinese Visas & the LA County Fair
Hello out there!
Well I guess it's Wednesday. LOL
I can't seem to keep track of these darn days. I spent all day yesterday thinking that it was Sept. 3rd. DOH
Anyhow, although I have another super busy day. I was at least able to sleep until the sun made an appearance.
Although it doesn't happen all the time, I do prefer when the sun catches me in bed.
The rest of the week will be filled with lots of running around and checking things off of my to do list. But as of Friday evening the fun shall begin!
WE ARE GOING TO THE FAIR
Although we may not be huge fair goers and find ourselves quite a bit more entertained by the people watching over the the entertainment. We are excited to be going to see Cosette's entries to this years Photography contest!
If you recall, Cosette had entered this photography contest last year but once we got there she was acting a bit strange...
So we'll see how it goes this year and wish my beautiful girl - who if I may say so myself happens to be a great photographer - GOOD LUCK!
As Elisa is dealing with just getting over the woes of finally getting all of her documents ready to renew the girls passports, I have been dealing with a similar situation having to get Chinese Visas for Cosette and myself.
Luckily I have been put in contact with a visa agent who has been most helpful. I just sent her all of my forms to look over as of Monday night and it seems that we are set to go take new photos for this and than we should be all set to get this thing processed.
The countdown to CHINA is: 62 Days
Wow, can you believe that it's almost here?!
I still need to pack for this weekend (Lake Tahoe) and Hawaii and San Diego and Oregon and Vegas!
Yup all of those trips are happening BEFORE China!
Anyhow my time is up, I need to get outta here and get into gear.
