Vegas - All in a DAY!
GREETINGS from Las Vegas, Nevada!
Here we are spending another one of our Labor Day weekends here in Sin City. We've come with just the kids, and once before with just Jet/Andrew/Chaplin, but never with all of them. This is the first trip to Vegas that the kids are traveling with their little cousin!
Little Chaplin is really loving every minute of this trip. Each and every new thing that catches her eye, and the ear to ear smile is just priceless. This little girl of only 6 years old is stopping every 2 feet to snap as many pictures as she could. Kinda reminds me of someone! Hmmm...any guesses?
Dave and I started our Monday out, the same way we started out Sunday out - by going downstairs while all the rest of the clan was still fast asleep and getting a fruit cup, some coffee, and some pastries (to bring back to mom and Brigitte).

After a short while it was time to head back upstairs and gather the group so that we could head on over to Tableau for a lovely brunch.

Brunch was good and enjoyed by all. But slightly on the small plates side and thus just as soon as we got up from the table did we head over to get some yummy blended iced coffee drinks and then back over to the Venetian and onward...
It was back to the Mirage, to Caesar's and to Bellagio with a rather tired bunch...

I guess it's been said that I tire people out and that I've been known to give them blisters!

But everything that we've done up to that point was actually on Chaplin's list!

And then before you knew it, it was pooping out time and some little legs just couldn't go any further. It was up to Andrew, the kids and Dave who insisted that he also didn't need a break (he was lying) and me of course to go back to get the vehicles and pick up Jet and Chaplin.

We made it back to the Venetian on foot and then took the cars to go pick up Jet and Chaplin (who napped). All in all it took an hour for this task.

Then off to Whole Foods to grab some snackage to the road trip and then to dinner.
It was in question for a little while as to if Jet, Andrew, and Chaplin would just head home rather than join us for dinner.
Andrew was getting tired and was beyond hungry, which equates to him becoming HANGRY. So it wasn't until after he scarfed up a slice of pizza did he begin to speak up and agree to the three of them joining us for dinner.
After dinner those 3 left town and we still had a few more tricks up my sleeve...and apparently up Dave's sleeve as well. Ummm I kinda think he sort of got into the Post Office after hours - some would call that breaking in!!!!
Then as luck would have it...he got locked in! And there we were (Dominic, Cosette and I) sitting out front in the car laughing so hard (that I almost peed my pants!!!) I tried to find my camera. I so wanted to record this situation. But with all of the laughing, before I could manage - he found a way out! All in the name of mailing his postcard with hopes of getting a proper postmark!
Anyhow and anyhoo that's about all for now folks.
