​First Day of School Blues and The Week's Upcoming Events
Hello! For most folks in the northeast and throughout the country, today is the first day of school.
Here's the best part -- I thought both kids started school tomorrow (Wednesday) but, as of this morning as 2AM, Kelsey informed me after going on the school website, that the first day of school is TODAY!! 
Fortunately, everything was ready. The only thing i had to do was to iron Kelsey's uniform. We got out of the house without a hitch and so begins the 2019-20 school year!

Needless to say, this will be a week of getting back in the swing of it all.
The coming weekend, we have a bunch of activities. Saturday we have, what I hope will be the last of our open houses. Then on Sunday, we have two different activities. First, there is Fall Birding at Wave Hill up in Riverdale (in The Bronx) first thing in the morning - 9:30 to be exact - with one of the very talented Wave Hill naturalists.

Then it's off to Little Italy in the Belmont section of The Bronx for the annual Ferrogosto, which is from 12noon to 6pm.
Two great outings I'm super excited about attending!
