Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 25 DAYS
It's a Good Day to have a Good Day
Yesterday was fairly uneventful - yep I had another one of those.
The morning was mellow. I had an appointment at the salon in the early afternoon. Went to Dave's to help him with some more of the organizing/cleaning. It's finally beginning to look like we are making some headway!
In the evening we had gone out to see Kingsman - The Golden Circle and it was a family affair...even Brigitte and Houston showed up. And when the movie was over my mom heard my name being called, I turned to look and saw none other than Liz there, coming out of the same movie!
I've been working on dates/plans for our trip/visit back east next summer which will coincide with the MLB All Star Game that will be hosted by the Washington Nationals.
A couple of things that are on the list already are:
MONTECELLO - the primary plantation of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States, who began designing and building Monticello at age 26 after inheriting land from his father.
Located just outside Charlottesville, Virginia, in the Piedmont region, the plantation was originally 5,000 acres, with Jefferson using slaves for extensive cultivation of tobacco and mixed crops, later shifting from tobacco cultivation to wheat in response to changing markets.
Due to its architectural and historic significance, the property has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Credit: Wiki
&
SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK - is a national park that encompasses part of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the U.S. state of Virginia. The park is long and narrow, with the broad Shenandoah River and Valley on the west side, and the rolling hills of the Virginia Piedmont on the east.
It's almost time for us to head out to choir.
Catch ya tomorrow!
