CURRENTLY TRAVELING TO: MAUI
Guess what day it is???
Yes you're right it is Friday, which means it's FOODIE FRIDAY and it's Elisa's turn, but if you notice there is just one column today and Elisa won't be joining us (insert sad face here).
Something has come up on her end and she had to postpone her travels to Connecticut as well.
Know that she is well, and the girls are also fine. But please do keep her peace of mind in your thoughts and prayer, and hopefully we'll see her back here tomorrow - which I'm guessing means that Foodie Friday might be a bit late this week as well. Sending {{{Virtual HUGS}}} to my cuz!
On a happier note, TODAY also marks the first day of my Hawaiian Trip, which is my 19th vacation of 2015!

On a happier note, TODAY also marks the first day of my Hawaiian Trip, which is my 19th vacation of 2015!
But yesterday didn't quite go as planned...
Cosette wasn't gonna be able to make her mani/pedi appointment, so I called to give the salon a heads up...and guess what?!
They lost my appointment!!! They are under new ownership and things have been changing over there...I'll probably be looking for a new salon soon.
So no mani/pedi for me.
Luckily I was able to reschedule for this morning, which is a bit nerve wrecking and I don't like waiting until the last hour!
The up side is that it was a good thing that I happened to call - because if I were to have just showed up and not been helped, then it would've been a huge waste of my time. And I cannot stand wasting time!
We did manage to get over to the stables to see Dream, but boy was it rather HOT and the flies were flying rampart!
So enough about all the Domestic jazz.
Let's get on with the rest of today and making our way to Maui!
We are heading to the airport early this afternoon and flying non-stop to OGG in Maui.
Nothing much all that special is happening tonight (aside from being in PARADISE!), we'll be picking up our rental, having dinner, doing a bit of shopping, and checking in to our hotel.

While we will only be visiting 2 islands on this trip, we actually have 3 hotels/resorts that we are staying at. This first one is just a one nighter and not too far from the airport.
The reason this happened if you recall, was when my plans had to be adjusted after I found out that the Luau schedule was booked on my night of preference.
So the original plan was to do the Road to Hana early on Saturday morning (tonight's hotel is much closer in distance to the start of the long drive), but that got bumped and it was too late to add a night at our booked resort in Kaanapali. So I just left the reservation as it.
We've got a very fun and busy day planned for tomorrow!
Now I sure hope that I don't fall asleep on the flight and can quickly adjust to the 3 hour time difference.
It's kinda of weird that I don't get affected by the big "J" word (jet lag) when traveling east.
But it does occasionally zap me when heading west.
Kinda weird if you ask me!
Alrighty then, I'm off to get my nails all prettified!
