China Cruises?Welcome back today! Here we are with Throwback Thursday again! This week it's my turn to share my continuing China Travel Adventure (Part 5) from my trip back in 1991. Today, I'm going to tell you all about our China Airlines flight from Shanghai to Beijing, which was most uncivilized! Speaking of China, for all you cruise enthusiasts, China is one of the hottest markets for cruises these days. Travel has certainly come a long way since I was there last in 1998! Have you ever considered visiting China? Perhaps a cruise would be an ideal way to plan an China vacation. Most cruises leave out of one of three ports in China:
Carnival Corporation, which started operating cruises in China in 2006, has become very aggressive in the Chinese cruise market with plans to unveil it's fourth cruise ship, the "Costa Serena", in 2015. According to China Travel Tourism News, "Carnival expects to carry 500,000 Chinese cruise passengers in 2015, up from 350,000 this year." Asian tours are operated under it's Princess Cruise Line brand in the Asian market, if you are looking to book something. Royal Caribbean Cruise line is also expanding in this market as well. According to Fortune Magazine, "Royal Caribbean and Carnival have both praised the Chinese government for being proactive about building out the infrastructure so that their large ships can dock there." I can tell you from my experience, China is a beautiful country with countless sights to see! If you are following my China Throwback story every other week, you will see the plethora of sights I had the pleasure of seeing first hand! Travel throughout China has become so much more sophisticated these days to what was remote and rough only a few decades ago. Please share your thoughts about any travel adventures you might have had in this part of the world!! We'd love to hear it. Here's to a wonderful day!! -E | Wanna go on an RV Road Trip for practically NOTHING???OMG, I can't believe that it's already September 25th?! Where did the month go??? I've always heard about how time flies when you're having fun...but I didn't even realize that I was having that much fun this month! I know that it's definitely been a busy month, especially for the kids, but I just can't believe that it's the 25th (only 3 months until Christmas!). What to pack, what to pack...I have a list that I keep adding to and as of yesterday I started packing! I'm almost done with Dominic, about a quarter of the way with mine, and today I'll begin tackling Cosette's! It's a very casual trip, with plenty of outdoorsy activities - and that makes for a pretty simple and easy pack. I've also been working on the meal planning, as I will be doing a lot of the shopping tomorrow and traveling with a cooler. This trip is a combo of both simple hotels, condos, and private rental properties, so there will definitely be some eating in (with the exception of Albuquerque - where there seems to be plenty of Vegan choices for us!) And I'm the type of person who kinda hates going into something without a plan! Speaking of road-trips, I came across a ridiculously awesome and amazing deal - for doing a one way RV road trip!
You know that if I heard about this earlier, I'm pretty sure this upcoming NM Road Trip would turn into an RV adventure! If you have the opportunity to go do this, jump on this deal ASAP - it's practically FREE - and we wanna hear all about it! So please write in :) As for today...well it's Throwback Thursday!
