Photography Show & Food This Week
Hey there!
Here we are, the first official week of Autumn. The temps are very pleasant this morning, but the kids were SO not in the mood to go to school. Actually, I'll be picking up Kelsey early for a doctor's appointment and getting Gianna late, as she has a club meeting at school. This year has kicked in severely with chauffeuring and driving these kids - especially Gianna with her new high school schedule and social life. 
This week is filled with two doctor appointments, a visit to the orthodontist for both kids, intense packing for me (for our inevitable move) and what I hope will be some fun activities as well.
As you may remember, last weekend was a complete washout for my poor Kelsey and her 12th birthday. With my stomach virus and being in the hospital, we never got a chance to go out to dinner to celebrate. My hope is that we can do so on this coming Sunday. However, Saturday should be a great deal of fun with our scheduled visit to the Queens Night Market. 
According to the website (see link above), there are 47 Food Vendors and 20 Art Vendors.
I think we will definitely be spending a good portion of the evening here. I'm crossing my fingers for nice weather. On Friday, I breakfast plans with my friend Karla (who will also be attending the Queens Night Market with me) and then I'm headed up to the Bronx for a photography show at Bronx Community College, "25" A Retrospective: Photos By Marisol Diaz-Gordon. 
Funny enough, I met Marisol this summer while she was on assignment doing some photography in Garden City and our cars were parked next to one another in the parking lot!!
We got to chatting and realized we both knew some of the same folks in the Bronx! So, you can imagine how thrilled I was to receive her invite to her photography show! Looking forward to attending! Well, I'm off to start the day! More tomorrow!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo
