Recapping my visit to Copenhagen
Hello out there and GREETINGS from Zagreb, Croatia!
We arrived here in Croatia late last night after spending a gorgeous day wandering about in Copenhagen, Denmark.
It was my second visit there and perhaps even more beautiful. Or perhaps it was because I might have been in a post (Rome) earthquake funk when I arrived and visited Copenhagen for the first time back in 2016...Oh well THAT is another story.
Meanwhile here in the Daily Scoop as per my usual, I'll be sharing yesterdays pictures and experiences with you....
Please come with me and enjoy Copenhagen -
Then after a most lovely day of showing Dave Y. around Copenhagen and while exploring some new points of interest for myself, it was time to make our way to Zagreb.
However...all was not with hassle and headache -
It was almost impossible to locate the metro that was heading to the airport. With all of the local downtown construction and detours, we were seriously running out of time and I was coming very close to turning on my full on travel panic mode. UGH
Things only got worse before they got better...
After much time, we had finally found the correct platform for the correct metro that would take us to the airport. All seemed well. That was until we were targeted - I blame our touristy hats - to have our tickets checked and lo and behold, our tickets were no longer valid!!!
We got FINED. And now have 2 weeks to either pay the rather ridiculously HUGE fine or complain. Must I even tell you what I plan to do??? LOL
Meanwhile today I am off touring, sightseeing and check things out here in the capital of Croatia!!
Here's my points of interest list that you can look forward to hearing about and seeing in tomorrows Daily Scoop:
Cathedral of Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary
Zrinjevac (stunning tree lined street)
Ban Jelacic Square
Gornji Grad (Zagreb's Old Town)
St. Mark’s Church
That's all for today folks!
