Fabulous Friday Fun...

Hey there!

Omg so like in one week we'll be in Hawaii! Woo to the Hoo - Awesomeness - our countdown is now under a week!!

So do you have any idea what day it is?

I know it's Saturday, but do you know what September 19th is???

Well aside from the silliness of it being 
'Talk Like a Pirate' Day...
It's me half birthday! Isn't that excitin'?

Today also marks when me bucko Micki be gettin' married, and after t' weddin' I will be goin' t' see a cousin who I haven't seen in years... 
I got a surprise message ayeterday that me cousin was in town!

Okay okay, enough...I was never meant to be a pirate anyway. But dressing like one can sure be fun!

Speaking of dressing...
Yesterday I had finally decided that I was gonna stick to my original choice of what to wear today (for the wedding). 
But then I took another looksie at the invitation and really felt that my wardrobe would be quite out of place for this "Rustic" Wedding. 
Back to the drawing board...
And since I have never been to a "Rustic" wedding, I went to the internet for some help! 
I pulled up many cute ideas...but none of which I could pull off without a good shopping episode at the mall.
And then going through the files of my wardrobe (in my mind) I think I came up with something! 

Now hopefully I can easily locate it...I'm pretty sure that I know exactly where most of the pieces to pull this outfit together are, but there is one item that might be stored elsewhere - which will cause me a bit of stress to hunt it down. Wish me luck!

Also speaking of attire, I am pretty sure that I am going with a Renaissance theme for this Halloween! 
I've never done that, and think it could be fun!

Now on with the SCOOP:
So I finally got to check a restaurant off of my "restaurants to try" list. 
We drove up to LA for dessert and dinner in plenty of rush hour traffic, taking us well over an hour. 

Somebody fell asleep back there!

And yes you read that correctly dessert then dinner 
(where we also indulged in second dessert!)

Our first stop was at Yoga-urt for some decadent and über amazing Frozen Yogurt - totally worth the long drive to the little city of Glendale for this treat!
It was definitely delicious and the only negative is that it isn't located around the corner from me!!!

This lovely little Froyo shop is in their Grand Opening and they are already TOPPED the list for best places to get vegan Frozen Yogurt by VegNews! And it was well deserved. I have a long list of FOODIE FRIDAY features waiting to be published - but I just might bump this one up to my next publishing (10/02/2015)! Stay tuned...

And after dessert we headed to Vegetable for dinner. What a lovely experience and incredible space right in the heart of Studio City. Totally has an east coast feel to it and one of the best designed restaurant spaces in LA that I've been to. We totally loved it! 

And the Food! Well the food really speaks for itself...but I'll also do some speaking for it when I feature this establishment in a future FOODIE FRIDAY feature! 

Yup you got that right - I was so lucky to find not only 1 place that I want to feature for FOODIE FRIDAY, but 2 in one night!!!

We had amazing service and I had a wonderful conversation with the owner/chef Jerry Yu.
Not to mention that the kids also loved the food and were stoked to have second dessert...of which Cosette scarfed up without even offering me a bite of!!! She claims that I was too busy talking! Whatever.
Do you think I talk to much?? Don't answer that.

Overall, we had a wonderful night and I'm expecting that we'll have yet another great night ahead of us tonight! 
I'm excited about the wedding and the surprise visit with my cousin. Can't wait..

Shopping Saturday Shoes Galore!

Greetings from Westhampton Beach!!

Back to my weekend schedule of horseback riding for the girls.  They were very excited to be back in the barn with all the horsies!

Dropped the girls off early at the barn since Gianna wanted to film for the Dream Come True Farm YouTube Channel.

I cannot wait to see the job my little girl does - I had a sneak peak at the site so far and it looks wonderful!

Now, it's time for one of my favorite subjects!! SHOPPING!

I mentioned the other day that I began getting a jump start on my Fall Wardrobe shopping.
As you all know by now... SHOES are my weakness.  

I don't know what it is, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE footwear!!  So much so, that my kids get annoyed!

So, this past week, I found some great deals on the Fall shoes and boots. 

I shopped at two online stores:
Francesca's and Just Fab Shoes

Francesca's is a traditional retailer with brick and mortar stores as well as an online store.  They have fashion items including clothing, shoes and accessories.

Just Fab is a Shoe Club.  After answering a few key questions about your style likes, you become a VIP Member.  Here is how it works:

1. Monthly Personalized Boutique:
On the 1st of every month, you'll get a new selection of styles in your private online boutique. VIP members enjoy member-only pricing on all full-priced styles!

2. Shop or "Skip" the Month

3. VIP Member Credits

4. Cancel Any Time

Now for me, with the number of shoes I buy, this was a great find for me!!! For $39.99, I got a pair of sexy gray heels and a casual pair of boots!!

Believe it or not, in total, I purchased 5 pairs in the last week!  I know that is crazy, but you can bet I'll be sporting these soon enough!!

I loved these shoes from the moment I saw them in Francesca's Store, but they didn't have my size. I ordered them online. So fun! and the wedge makes them comfy! Great to wear with jeans

So back to my shoe obsession - well, I'm not the only one - this is a phenomenon with many women.  In fact, I found an interesting article on MegaMood.com, 10 Fascinating Facts About Women and Their Obsession with Shoes.
