Fun-filled WeekendHappy Friday! Well, before I move on to what I planned to talk about today, I wanted to tell you how proud I am of my daughter Rebecca. She was the make up artist for an independent film this week starting Luis Guzman. Apparently, the cast was very blown away by her talent, that they have asked her to work on an upcoming feature film to be shot in Las Vegas. Here is Rebecca with Mr. Guzman! So, moving on - in other news, today is, of course, is Foodie Friday. I hope you enjoy today's feature, "Italian Tapas at Spuntino Wine Bar" which is located right here in Garden City, New York. It would be an understatement to say that I'm happy the weekend is here It's been a bit of a nutty week. In fact, today, I will be up at the school for the annual "Class Coffee." This event is held at the beginning of the year for parents to sign up for the various PTA committees and the various class trips and parties. I have a fun-filled weekend planned. Tonight Tedd and I will be taking Kelsey out to get a new bicycle for her 8th birthday, which was this past Sunday. Then, we'll be taking her to dinner at Olive Garden, which was her restaurant choice! Tomorrow is horseback riding for the girls, however, since Gianna has been home with a bad cold the past two days, it will more than likely only be Kelsey who will be heading to the barn. Poor Gianna, she is so disappointed. So, that brings me to Sunday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Gianna is feeling better, because if not, my plans will have to be cancelled. I have always wanted to take the girls into the city (NYC) to Time Square to TKTS to buy same-day Broadway play tickets. I thought it would be a real experience standing on the line, selecting a show, getting the tickets, having a scrumptious lunch and then heading to the theatre for a matinee. I had planned to bring my nephews Nolan and Julian as well. Believe it or not, the kids all agreed on wanting to see Wicked. So, now, it's a waiting game to see if Gianna recovers. You will be the first to know! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!! -E | It's the WEEKEND!Hey Party People! How's it going? How was your week? And the most important question...how many hours until you're off for the weekend??? WooHoo!!! Any fun plans? I for one should really celebrate...I just realized that it's my half BIRTHDAY! Yay!!! Gotta go shake my groove thang! Oh and I've decided that I am accepting presents! ;) I wanna know! I am really curious, as well as just a nosy little thing. But I wanna learn about YOU! I wanna get to know what you have to share... How do you spend your free time? Are you a dreamer? A mover? A doer? A lifelover? I sit here everyday sharing my scoop, my thoughts, my plans with a screen! So who exactly is on the other side of this screen? Send me a note! :) Well, my week hasn't been all that bad. It was pretty damn HOT at the beginning of the week, but once the A/C had been fixed it also seemed to cool down to a crisp (not) 80ish outside! And when 80ish is a relief, there's gotta be a problem! LOL That's SoCal for ya! :-/ Anyhoo, jsyk my week has actually been kinda PEACHY! And no that wasn't a typo, jsyk = just so you know. Yesterday was Throwback Thursday, it was and always is great to go back and relive these stories and events in my life, and yesterday was no different! "How many tries before you can ride a Zeppelin" was a joy to put together and so much fun to experience as well as reflect and look back on. There are also soooo many many other stories and life periods that make up the Story of my Life and yet so many of them aren't quite as well photo documented. If only I could take the pictures out of my minds eye! I've been very fortunate to have a very FULL life, it's almost as though I've already lived several lives in one! I urge you with all my heart to get on out there and to experience life to it's fullest, forget about what you have been conditioned to do or to not do...Find what makes you HAPPY and get on out there and LIVE! Look back with no regrets! Look back and say "Those were AWESOME times!" I'm gonna let you soak that in! And workup an appetite because...Today is Foodie Friday and I have a feeling that Elisa has shared a mouth watering meal experience that you're not gonna want to pass up! Have a fabulous Friday, and we'll rendezvous back here tomorrow for the start of our Super Saturday! -T |
