My Baby's Turning 8!How are you doing today?? Woke up this morning with a ton of last minute things to do for Kelsey's birthday party. I had ordered her American Girl accessories from Toys R Us yesterday for in-store pick up (nothing like waiting till the last minute!), so I had to run out early this morning to get them.  KELSEY ON THE MORNING OF HER 8TH BIRTHDAY Unfortunately, of all the items I ordered, only one was in-stock in the store with the rest needing to be shipped. That's okay. The other s will arrive within a day or so. In any case, you had to see me in the parking lot of Toys R Us - with the wind blowing, mind you - transferring the gift into the gift bag I had just bought and then fluffing the tissue paper over the gift. I filled out the card there too so that the entire gift was all packed up nice and neat and ready to bring straight to the party venue. I then headed to Party City to get a big bunch of balloons - which were a feat walking through the parking lot and then shoving them into the car with all the wind. Whew! Now, we are also getting her a bicycle - so since we are going to take her there in person to pick it out, I took a shot of the bike department in Toys R Us to show her. I finally pulled out my travel file for our New Mexico Road trip in a few weeks. I wanted to review all the details - flight time, car rental, hotels and house rentals, etc. Tanya will be chatting about all the details and going over our itinerary in detail this week.   Happy Birthday Kelsey!!! Enjoy your day! -E  | It's gonna be a Fun Filled day at the Fair!Good Day Everyone! It's Sunday and we are heading to the fair!!!   Dominic and Cosette will be performing with the International Peace Choir at the L.A. County Fair this afternoon! What a fun time to be had!!! But it's gonna be HOT and when I say HOT I mean HOT!  I remember going to the fair with them last year on this very same day! It was a scorcher! I remember melting in the sun, sitting in the stands of the Horse Races (after the kids performance) and sending a Happy Birthday Video to little Kelsey! I personally just don't understand or like the weather in Southern California... The rest of the country pleasantly starts going into fall. The trees start to beautifully change colors, there is a new crispness in the air, the smell of pumpkin bread baking in the kitchen, the autumn wardrobe is pulled out and the summer one gets put away...well not here! Here at this time every year it only gets HOTTER! We have a summer with extra innings, and the heat really gets turned on! UGH The TORTURE - I love the Fall, and we don't get one out here :( We get the never ending summer, where everyday looks the same. You can wake up on Thanksgiving or Christmas morning and it'll look the same as if you woke up on July 4th! Not to mention having a Fire Season! Where the hell do I live??? So anyhoo, yesterday was pretty successful. I managed to buy a bunch of birthday gifts, and a birthday outfit for Cosette. Ordered her birthday cake, and we picked up my new camera! YAY!!! We stayed indoors and kept cool! I didn't get my hair done, because I'm still up in the air about what exactly to do with it! LOL And I too made a preliminary list for our upcoming Travelin' Cousins New Mexico Road Trip!!! Great minds think alike!
