Hello! Hope your week is moving along smoothly and without any hitches.
Mine was moving along just swell until I decided to do a load of laundry last night. My washer was making some funky noises during the wash cycle and when it finished and I went to remove the clean clothes to put them into the dryer, they were still pretty soaking wet.
I decided to run through another spin cycle, but within a minute, the machine turned off before spinning. After three attempts, the machine wouldn't even turn on at all. UGH!!!! Really?
I knew first thing in the morning I would have to call for service and see what was going on. As a result, I had to cancel several things I had going on today, in preparation of a repairman being able to come over...
First, my breakfast with my friend Karla. We haven't seen each other since her weekend "anniversary" trip to Connecticut a few weeks ago and I am eager to hear all about it.
Secondly, my hair appointment. It's that time again, when a color touch up is needed.
So, I'm hoping to reschedule both for Friday - we'll see if that works out.
Now, here's the other fly in the ointment - the repair man is only able to come this evening at 6pm. Under normal circumstances, this is not a big deal, but tonight I had Gianna's Parent Night at her new high school at 7.
Thankfully, my absolutely wonderful neighbor is able to come by and keep the girls company (and safe) while the work most likely continues past 7, so I can leave and make my meeting.
Ok - enough venting. Moving right along - not sure if you remember Tanya's blog yesterday when she mentioned that we got some super exciting news yesterday! We are drawing out the anticipation, but we cannot tell you yet - but as soon as we can, you'll hear it here!!
Lastly, (yes, this is another short one), I just read a very interesting article from The Discoverer Blog, written by Vivian, which I am going to share with you:
Of these 7, I have been to two - Hungary and the Czech Republic. Click Here to read about the other five!!
Happy Hump Day and I'll be back tomorrow!!

I just gained a day - sort of
Good Day Folks!
I woke up this morning thinking that it was Thursday and that we leave tomorrow. Whew...
As much as I look forward to us leaving, I have waaaaay to much to do before our actual departure of early Friday morning.
We are leaving out of San Diego and because of it being such an early flight and with having to arrive at the airport 2 hours ahead of the departure = to play it safe. We are leaving the house at 3am on Friday morning (if you can call it the morning).
We are definitely not a family that hits the sack early on almost any given occasion.
I've been more known to doze off for a mere 1/2 hour as my night's sleep than to go to bed early!
So I'm not sure we will be getting ANY sleep on Thursday night.
Anyhow moving right along, with my crazy partial week and things changing in my schedule, I felt so bad that I had no choice but to move my hair appointment a number of times.
Luckily my new hair stylist was able to squeeze me and Dominic in yesterday morning.
Dominic needed a trim and it was about time for me to get a pink touch up! And go figure that I would remember to take before and during pics but no after "selfie" pic of my newly pigmented Raspberry locks! You'll see then soon enough ;)
Also as you probably noticed - I said "new" stylist. Well ya see, a few weeks ago I was in desperate need of having my bangs trimmed...I was starting to look all emo. LOL
I contacted my regular stylist only to find out that the salon had permanently CLOSED and did so without any notice to the stylists or to the customers! UGH
After a few days of my stylist searching for a new station within a new salon, she came up empty handed and has decided that she will go back to school full time and therefore recommend another stylist for me who happens to be her best friend and the girl who does her own hair.
I'm happy to say that both Dominic and I were throughly happy with our new stylist Celina and the new salon - Pon International. That was a relief!
So finally at around 10pm last night I was able to get over to the Fedex office and get all of the documents printed and copied that is needed to now be mailed in order for us to get our Chinese visas.
In fact I'll be heading out to the post office here in just a few minutes to get that "headache" out and on it's way. And lots more to do today.
Time is getting away from me, so I better go catch it!!
