Hello on this somber day.
Hard to believe that it has been 17 years since that dark day in America, when thousands of people across all lines of humanity, perished.
Folks, it's hard to talk about travel and upbeat things today. As a resident of Long Island, I experienced first-hand individuals I knew who never came home, family members and loved ones whose lives were changed forever, and first-responders who gave so much and still suffer today with health problems as a result of helping.
After a few days, we could smell the scent of burning that emanated from downtown Manhattan.
So, for today, as we remember and hopefully, never forget about all those victims today, I will leave it short today.
May God Bless America!

I not much of a news or TV watcher on any given day, but on Sept. 11, 2001 I was glued to the TV and making phone calls like crazy.
I was not in New York at the time. But aside from my fam bam household that is here with me, everyone else was back "home".
I was a month away from giving birth to my little peanut Cosette and I was in a state of SHOCK.
How could this be real? How could this have happened? And to this day I still ask those same questions...
I still don't watch the news or much of any TV. I won't be watching any of the remembrances.
Of course I know what day it is. Of course I remember, because that day is one that I will never forget.
Yesterday was a hectic crazy busy day. I know I keep telling you that I'm having those, And it's true.
We technically leave in 3 days based on the date, but we really leave super late on the 2nd day or ridiculously early on the 3rd. Like hours and hours before the sun rises.
Cosette has been packed since I was still on the cruise. I'm pretty well packed, but not 100%. Dominic is started. And we will pack Dave's bag tomorrow night.
It seems that Jet, Andrew and Chaplin are also getting pretty excited about the trip! They leave exactly one week from today and this will be the first time that they are there on the Hawaiian Islands as a family.
Jet had been to Oahu and to Maui many moons ago and she absolutely loved it. But hasn't been back. Andrew and Chaplin have never been and I'm sure will love it.
They were telling me all of their plans. All the beaches they plan to go to, the Kayaking, Horseback riding, the Road to Hana and more!!
Okay side note on something that literally just happened like right now. Anyhow I had to call Elisa to share this honor and excitement and of course we will be sharing it with you ASAP!!
But now I've lost the few minutes that I had and I need to hit the road and get on with my day.
