Now that Gianna is not eating ANY dairy, our inspiration is even greater for finding and frequenting new and current favorite vegan eateries.
Of course, Tanya has experienced their brunch before, but this will be a first for my gang!!

We need a quick trip to Roosevelt Field mall for a few necessities for these girls before school begins this coming week.
We haven't been in two days, so tonight we'll head out to Lifetime Fitness for a much-needed work-out.
With the exception of making dinner for us gals, that about the extent of my day on this Labor Day weekend saturday!!
I'm over and out!
Have a great day! -E

CURRENTLY IN: IDYLLWILD
Greetings from campsite 65 up in Idyllwild, CA
It’s a camping weekend for us. And it’s really gonna be all about the relaxing and chilling out. Reading and stargazing. Campfires and Smores. Hiking and Hammocking. Which of course is nothing even remotely close to what our everyday life is like. We are unplugged…for the most part.
I’ve somehow managed to find a sliver of signal and that was all I really needed in order to text and received text messages “Hi Mom” “Hi Elisa”. But not much more than that. I have found that with suck a sliver that even with my hot spot doesn’t seem to get me online. So I’ll be send everything to my dear best cuz and Travelin’ Cousin partner Elisa.
Our gang of four arrived last night after another busy day handling last minute chores, errands and waiting for Dave to get off of work.
I was super famished by the time Dave got back and we had loaded everything up. Then picking up the kids and Goldie was next and we were on our way.
First stop would be back tracking just a bit and having dinner at Green Tomato Grill, which just so happens to be pet friendly and at times a weekly go to for us in Orange County.

In fact this location is so close to where Dominic takes a class that depending on my schedule if I’m gonna sit around and wait for him, I almost always go get a bag of their delish Chili Lime Popcorn to munch on (in fact I couldn’t resist ordering some last night for the road).
Being pet friendly it was definitely a plus last night since we had Goldie in tow. Cosette came up with the idea and I immediately thought it would be perfect.

Both Dave and I had the Greek Tofu Salad, Dominic went with the Beyond Burger, Cosette the BBQ Tofu Bowl and we all opted for a cup of the yummy Corn Chipotle Chowder.

We had one more stop on the road before making our way up 5,281’ to the camp site. That one extra stop was the bookstore. Cosette was out of reading material. Dave drove and I dozed. Waking up for the bookstore and for our arrival to the campsite.
Then it was time to break out the tent and put it together in the dark. That is always a fun task! Thankfully there were minimal arguments. And a good nights sleep came after that.
Anyhow, since we aren’t too far from the little village of Idyllwild we will be taking a little stroll out that way to check it out, maybe go for a hike. Get Dave a postcard and see if there was anything else that might be of interest.
I’ll fill ya in on all the scoop tomorrow,
