A Day of AppreciationWelcome to Sunday! I hope your weekend is fantastic so far!! What do you have on your agenda today? I was a bit disappointed, but we all decided not to go to the Ferrogosto on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx today. I've been looking forward to it for a few months. :-( The kids were so insistent on wanting a family day at home with their cousins and swimming in my sister's pool while we still have hot weather. I took the opportunity not to have any schedules to keep by walking, bike riding and exercising this morning. I also spent some time with my cutie pie, Liberty!! Just going to enjoy the sunshine and cherish the moments with my old fur baby. She's 13 now and came through a terrible illness last winter. She's much more relaxed these days; sleeps more; tires easily and cannot run and jump the way she did in her younger days. Makes me sad but also doesn't let me take one minute with her for granted! Some days you just have to stop, appreciate the present moment and embrace it - that's what I am doing today! Have a fabulous Day!!! -E | The 3Rs & the 3CsIt's Sunday, and I'm off to a long IPC board meeting. How fun can we get? But what's gotta be done has got to be done. I was questioned yesterday as to why I was going to this meeting. Why would I waste my day like this? Just cancel. Don't go. I was almost offended by this... I'm a girl of her word, my word is my honor and I committed to being a part of the IPC board (my kids are in the IPC), I happen to be in town, so therefore I'll be there! Reliability after-all is my middle name! Well not seriously, but... for as far as I can remember, I have had 3R's that I live by, and feel very strongly about (not in any particular order): 1. Responsibility 2. Respect 3. Reliability More recently (in the past decade) I added 3C's that mean a great deal to me and I feel even stronger about (again in no particular order): 1. Caring 2. Compassion 3. Consideration These values run through my blood. And I hope to pass them on to Dominic & Cosette. So, after todays meeting I was thinking that I might go to the salon. We'll see. The rest of the day is a blank canvas! Anyhow, last night was a lot of fun! The boys really danced up a storm! I mean they really tore up the dance floor. We definitely had the best costumes - hands down! All except for Cosette - she was being a party pooper by being embarrassed by us! Lol It was so good to see old friends, and meet some new folks too! Good times! And back to today (Maybe I have some ADD this morning): Whatever you decide to do today, I hope that you have a pleasant Sunday. The choice is yours, and maybe you'll even incorporate using the 3R's & the 3C's! Have fun, be safe, and meet me back here tomorrow! Ciao 4 now, -T |
