Hi there and greetings once again from Miami Beach! We are having a delightful time unwinding from the past 2 weeks of our non-stop schedule. It’s been pure bliss of lounging out at the beach and swaying in hammocks. I woke up this morning with the plan of watching the sunrise from our balcony. To be honest, it wasn’t one of the best sunrises that I’ve seen. The sky was clouded at the horizon and there just wasn’t a wow factor with the lighting. But just when the sun began to peek through the grey clouds there was a most beautiful shimmer that was painted around them. It was most definitely a silver lining! And just then the suns rays also began to streak the sky. This was a very powerful, moving and magnificent moment for me. It literally brought tears of joy to my eyes. After that I had woke Cosette and down we went to the shore and off we went of a lovely beach stroll. Coming back we would find the boys just stirring and preparing to wake. A delightful breakfast was to be had a Pura Vida and then back to our resort and back to the beach... Which is where I am right now! The kids are playing in the surf and I’m soaking in the delicious sea breeze from the comfort of a resort lounge chair and beneath a beach umbrella. Not much more on my agenda for today; aside from dinner plans. Hope you have been enjoying your time, as much as I’ve been enjoying mine. I’ll be back-at-ya tomorrow. Ciao 4 now, -Travelin’ Tanya | Welcome to a very wet and rainy Thursday here on Long Island. This weather is getting to be a bit much, even for a pluviophile like me!! My understanding is that this will continue through tomorrow until the sun breaks through on Saturday for Halloween! Yay - finally! Today will be the moment of truth for my kitchen leak. Last week I had some work done to address the leak from the last storm, and I'm praying that the problem was solved. We shall see. Trust me, you will hear it from me tomorrow if this darn thing is still leaking!! Cousins Chat This morning, Tanya and I were able to have a short early morning chat as she continues her Florida Travel Adventure with her second day in Miami. She was out on the beach super early to snap away at the sunrise. I posted these as soon as she sent them to me. (Her NY-based cousin is quite jealous of that lovely view!!) Aside from personal catch-up, we also chatted about the next 10 YouTube videos that are currently being edited. Five of these will feature Tanya's visit to Walt Disney World last week so we took some time to review the material. Guess what I'll be doing most of today and tomorrow? That's right - editing videos. Then, of course, I have another six to go with our other destinations from the past two weeks. I cannot wait to get these uploaded to YouTube!! I thought I would leave you will an article I quite enjoyed from one of my favorite travel sites, The Discoverer Blog, 5 Surprising Foodie Destinations in the U.S. When we think of good food, there are some obvious places that spring to mind - one of which is New York. But, I really was surprised by the author's picks for this article. While I encourage you to read the full article, here is the breakdown:
Wouldn't it just be great to have the ability to blink your eyes and be in any of those destinations (or any destination around the world for that matter) just to have a foodie adventure for a day and then come back home in time for the next day's obligations? Speaking of food, I have a very cool "vegan dessert" surprise story I'm working on over the next week! I'll tell you more in upcoming blogs. For now - I'm off to edit videos!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
