It's Monday again...
A brand new week and the last week of October!
Wow! Where the heck did this month go???
Only 8 more weeks until Christmas week!
Have you started...or finished your Christmas shopping yet???
And...
Only 4 more weeks until Thanksgiving week!
Do you have your menus planned?
I still need to work on this!!!
I started my Christmas shopping months ago, since I'm the type who prefers to take my time and not shop under the gun.
So both me and the kids are slowly making our way through the several Christmas lists and gift ideas.
But I really don't like rushing things and I'm not one to rush the holidays, so for now and this week let's talk about Halloween!
Are you dressing up this year?
Of course you realize that we are! Every year we all have much fun dressing in various costumes!

Well we are coming off of a fairly mellow weekend - no travel, no marathons, no extreme race events...
Yesterday was rather simple - the boys watched some football. Then me, Dave, and Dominic went out to lunch, to REI - such a fun store...I'll take one of everything! Our purpose was to actually shop for our trip to Quebec and the Winter Carnaval. We did a bit of FREEZING at last years event!
So we were looking for heavyweight base layers and heavy socks. Ya know like the expedition stuff!
Well we came out with some socks, but I'm thinking that SoCal isn't exactly the place to be shopping to heavyweight base layers. Back to the internet with that quest.

Lastly as a special little treat we stopped at Scoops OC for some Ice Cream!
Cosette had gone to the stables with Jet, Andrew, and Chaplin, so she couldn't join us on our little outing. We did bring her back some take out...but you had to be there for the Ice Cream!

And with today being Monday, we'll be heading to choir rehearsal this evening, and before that Cosette and I will be going to the stables and perhaps do a bit more shopping!
