Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 7 DAYS
T'was a good night for a musical
When I usually sleep wonderfully, I had a most uncomfortable sleep last night. Why? Because it was still ike 90F freakin degrees at midnight!
Hopefully the temps start to go down tomorrow...as promised by the forecast.
And hopefully this is the LAST heat wave for all of 2017. I am super eager to break out some of my Fall clothes. So let's get on with it already!
Since I've been behind on the blog I didn't have the chance to mention to you that we were going to see the musical 'Bright Star' last night.
I car-pooled with Dave and when it came time to pick him up we headed to downtown LA and to grab some dinner (which was delicious btw) at Au Lac before meeting up with my friend Jodie and watching the show.
With several new menu offerings it was a bit difficult to choose what to order. I already know what I plan on ordering in November, but since this was an extra visit I decided to try a few new dishes. But since they were so good, all it has done is make it more difficult to my pre-planned order (because I've now found even more that I really want to have again)!
Bright Star is a musical written and composed by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. Set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina in 1945-46 with flashbacks to 1923.
The original Broadway cast album was nominated for the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
BRIGHT STAR Received 5 Tony Award Nominations Including BEST MUSICAL!
BRIGHT STAR Received 7 Drama Desk Award Nominations Including Best Actress, Carmen Cusack
Yes even I (the BANJO and twang hater) said that the music was wonderful.
Today, aside from my attempts to keep cool, I'll be working of upcoming travel plans, taking Dominic to one of his classes, watching game 2 of the MLB World Series (even though I would rather there be an option where neither team wins), and going for a lovely much awaited manicure.
I'll catch ya'll later!
Oh and one last thing, I know that it's not TBT, but I wanted to point out my outfit selection for last night and all of the great use and memories that it has experienced with me <3<3<3
That's about all folks,
