Heading to Vegan Market, BrooklynHi Guys!!! What a GLORIOUS day it is! I woke up to the sound of the trees blowing and the whooshing of the wind. I just love these kind of Fall days! Well, today, me and my gang will be hitting the road early to head into Brooklyn - one of our favorite NYC boroughs - for the Vegan Market. All about my day yesterday in NYC Wow! did we have a fun time! Not only did we have a blast taking the train into Manhattan; walking around Times Square; seeing an amazing show and eating a yummy dinner...but we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather too! I'm going to let the pictures and video speak for themselves! Definitely suggest that you see Smokey Joe's Cafe at Stage 42, if you have the chance. What a talented group of entertainers!!! Excited, having just seen the show! Super lovely day - now, to get started on another one!! See ya back here tomorrow! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo | A jumbled schedule and the We Can Survive ConcertDid you miss Tanya's blog post yesterday? Yes - it posted a bit late. Catch up until she gets here today!! - E October 20, 2018 - NYC Bound, LA Bound and Favorite Fashions Hey-O! It's Sunday and after a late night rockin' out at the Hollywood Bowl, we are up in LA once again and heading up to Agoura Hills to visit Dave's mom...more on this in tomorrow's Daily Scoop. For now let's focus on yesterday and all the haps. Well the day actually started off a bit hectic. Here I had everything scheduled all nice and perfect, when I find out that Mika's soccer game was actually at 10:30a rather than 1:30p which is what I was originally told. You'd think that it was as simple as just swapping a few things around and partially it was. However since we found out about the schedule change only a half an hour before the game started it was a bit of a scramble to get there in time. Not really a big ol' deal except for when you are like me and you schedule lots and don't have much wiggle room. Next up was getting my mani/pedi which was scheduled for 11am and thus needed to rescheduled. After having presentable nails once again, we were on the road and heading up to LA. The concert start time was 1/2 hour earlier than I had thought it was and we were hoping to have some dinner beforehand. Another schedule change...because of how much traffic there was, we had to order the food to go from both Doomies and Doomies Nextmex. Luckily they are located next door to one another. The kids felt like burgers (veggie burgers of course) and Dave and I opted for Mexican. With all the schedule errors we had arrived at the Hollywood Bowl after the 6:30p start time. I needed to make a quick pitstop and while doing so I happened to run right into an old friend of mine - Chhai, who I haven't seen in years. What a Small World! We chatted for a few... Meanwhile, Cosette and the boys made a dash for our seats so that she didn't miss anymore of the show! Act after act, with some better and some enjoyed more than others. Call me a prude. Call me what you want, but I'm not much for distasteful and boy oh boy did I find the performance by TYGA distasteful. I don't know much about this guy. Maybe he is distasteful all of the time, who knows. But I was not a fan and the kids found my reaction quite humorous. All in all, the night was entertaining and the kids had a great time = SUCCESS! Now for another day in LA. Hope you have a nice Sunday and come back to meet us here tomorrow. Tootles, -Travelin' Tanya |
