NYC Bound & Favorite Fashions

Yay!! Saturday is finally here!! 
Lots going on this weekend.  Me and my girls will be heading into Manhattan to meet our dear Aunt Ro for a performance of Smokey Joe's Cafe and a delicious meal afterwards.

As you know, my birthday was this past Tuesday and today just happens to be my Aunt's birthday, so our Saturday will be a celebration of both.

If you are not familiar with this show, which won a Grammy in 1997 for the Original Broadway cast recording, Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs Of Leiber And Stoller, is a musical revue showcasing 39 pop standards, including rock and roll and rhythm and blues songs written by songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. 

My aunt has wanted to see this for a while, so we figured why not go for our birthdays!

Today also happens to be Shopping Saturday, here on TC, and I wanted to share one of my new purchaes - a blouse that I will be sporting today!!

I recently went on a little shopping excursion at Old Navy with Gianna, and while, the spree was mostly for Gianna, I did manage to get an adorable new blouse!

Floral Crinkle-Crepe Swing Blouse was $22 and then as an Old Navy credit card holder, I received an extra 40% off!  Not bad!!   

Actually, it's perfect for today since the temps here in NY are going to be in the 60's.  Not too cold, not too hot.

Then last night, me and Tanya were chatting about some of our most comfortable footwear when traveling, and we both agreed that we love our Palladium boots!!! You can see us sporting these cool vegan shoes, on two of our trips - 

I'm wearing them in Yellowstone National Park and Tanya looked all cute with her's walking around Krakòw, Poland a few years back!!

Both me and my cuz LOVE LOVE LOVE to travel in style no matter where we go!


Well, guys, I've got to get myself dressed and beautified for our day in Manhattan!

Los Angeles Bound

Happy Saturday!

When I am at home, I really have to tell you how much I just love the weekends. I'm sure that you can relate. But think about me for a sec (lol).
I don't have a 9-5 and my kids have always been home schooled, so what difference is it to me if it is a weekday or the weekend...

I am pretty sure that it is because of all the people that I love being around who do have these very rigid and inflexible schedules and I love seeing the the people that I love get free time and be happy. And that is why I love weekends so much.
​It's because I love when other people are happy!

Besides, when I'm traveling as you know I can never tell what day of the week it is.

Can you imagine how confused I'll be once we get to China which is currently 15 hours ahead of pacific time.

Anyhow enough about that. This weekend has got us heading up to LA both today and tomorrow.

But first I must finally go for my Manicure - my nails are in dire need. We'll also go to watch Mika's soccer game before hitting the road and the traffic up to LA. 

We are heading up to LA today for the 6th Annual 'We Can Survive' concert at the Hollywood Bowl. 

Line-up: Tyga, G-Eazy, Shawn Mendes, Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, Marshmello, and Ella Mai

The We Can Survive series is an annual charity benefit concert where some of the biggest acts around come together to help spread awareness about breast cancer. And a portion of the proceeds from every ticket sold will be donated to the Young Survival Coalition.

​I'm still deciding what to wear and because of the really hot October weather that Southern California is faced with it tends to be kinda difficult for me. My mind insists that it's the Autumn and that I should be pulling out my Fall wardrobe, yet my body is still over heating with the temperatures being in the high 80's and low 90's.

Anyhow I need to leave in order make it in time for  my appointment at the salon, so I'm sorry I have to cut it short.
