Ok - in other news...
I was completely glued to my desk and laptop yesterday!  I accomplished sooo much.  In fact, I was chatting with Tanya on and off about a number of things.

First, we have been getting so many amazing follower comments on both Instagram and Twitter lately!

Tanya and I were also working on a new page for our site as well - "Press" Page with all of our press releases.  Yup - the cousins are starting to get our public relations machine going to spread the word about our blog!!

As for today...
I'll be heading over for a bit of pampering to have my hair done. Tomorrow is Gianna's confirmation, so I figured today was a good day to get beautified!

My hope is to also take care of some bookings today for our Disney trip in February.

OMG - did I tell you that the kids' passport application got kicked back because their father's release was incomplete?  UGH - he inadvertently forgot to include their dates of birth.  So, now he has to fill out the entire form again.  I'm getting nervous since our trip to the Dominican Republic is only two months away. Staying positive!

Alright my lovelies - I'm off to tackle the day!

Thinking about China and plans for the weekend

Good day out there! 

I'm pretty much a local gal for the next few weeks.

But local doesn't mean that I don't have a bundle of things going on.

I'm also mentally in China mode, since this trip departs in 35 days!!! ​

I'm sure it's gonna be a huge culture shock for us  and so I started looking up what to expect. After browsing the internet, I found this article quite helpful:

I also hope that we can adjust to the time zone quickly - as it is 15 hours ahead!!! 

While jet lag doesn't usually have much effect on me - I've also never had to deal with a 15 hour time difference!

What this week looks like:

I decided to postpone the orientation meeting last night at choir and found out that I will also be walking in the Tustin Tiller Days parade along with the ambassadors on Saturday. So of course I pulled in Dave to walk in it too.

The parade is scheduled to end at 1p, so I'm hoping that we can get out of there quickly and hustle over to Mika's soccer game. This is her first season and I've already missed all of the games due to my travel schedule!
It is my goal to catch as many of her games as possible and to get out there and support my first niece!

This weekend also happens to be the Long Beach Marathon in which Dave and I will be pedaling the course early on Sunday morning before any of the runners get out there.

We've been doing this ride for the past 9 years, unless we are out of town traveling. So it is sort of a tradition for us.

Since I started adjusting a few trips based on something that took place last week - an unexpected and very disappointing cancellation. I am kind of up in the air about my upcoming mountain bike trip to Oregon (which was scheduled only 1 week before I leave to China).

At this point I think I might postpone the trip and fill in another mountain biking destination - perhaps Mammoth. I'll keep you posted.

Anyhow, I've gotta get lots of stuff done out of the house, so I'm gonna sign off now.
