Exciting Website Changes & Upcoming Trips

Well, a big hello to you today!!

This week is moving right along with each day being chock full of "to do's", errands and accomplishments!!

Today is no different so far, as of 9:30am this morning  After dropping off the girls at school, I headed over to Trader Joe's to do a food shopping.  My goodness, was it both cold outside and freezing in the store!!  I guess these cool Autumn New York temps have taken everyone by surprise, but it just may be time to start cranking the heat.

Updating our site...

I have to tell you, I feel like Tanya and I are like two ships that have been passing in the night.  Between her schedule and mine, we really have not had the chance to catch up in several weeks.

Our plan (and hope) is to have a "chat session" today.  There are a number of things we need to discuss - not sure if you've noticed, but we've been making some changes to our site in the past few weeks. 

Always trying to keep things fresh and interesting for our followers!!

​But, we have more adjustments and additions in the works over the coming weeks!

You may have noticed that we've re-arranged our navigation bar - this was not done to confuse anyone, but we just felt that these changes would make our site easier to navigate for maximizing information for your reading pleasure!

We'll be working on our home page during the coming week, which I hope you find esthetically pleasing and easy to navigate as well!

Travel Talk...
I have a few new things on the calendar - not super major, but I'm certainly looking forward to them!!!
Here's the total line up so far for daycations and extended trips (note: I am working on adding a few more daycations!)

• October 20th: Smokey Joe's Cafe on Broadway

A show and dinner - always a good way to spend the day!!!

• October 21st: Vegan Market, Brooklyn

Been looking forward to this for a while!  Lots of reporting on this to follow our visit!

• October 27th: Bronx Night Market

I understand there are a plethora of new Vegan vendors and I want to check these out on the final Bronx Night Market of the season!

• November 1st: Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn

The kids are off from school, so me and one of my travel buddies and guest blogger, Karla Guerra will be taking our four kids into Brooklyn for a day of sightseeing and eating!

• December: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

We are getting our swimsuits and summer wear ready for our Caribbean Christmas!

• February: Disney World, Orlando, FL

It will be a bit early, but we're getting a jump on celebrating Kelsey's 13th Birthday in a magical way!

• June/July: Sicily, Italy  

The cousins will head to their "homeland" for a taste of Sicily!

I need to fill in more fun excursions for November!  I'll keep you posted!

Conquering Continents!

Hi there (said in the most excited possible voice)!

Yes I am excited! So so very excited!

Not sure if you recall, but while in Maui and on our last day of the trip I had received some disappointing news. Read here..

​Well although I was still disappointed, I had managed to move on and stop with the insanity of being bummed out.

And guess what...
As of yesterday our trip is a GO. All confirmed and I am excited beyond words!

I'm seriously on cloud nine and jumping for joy!

I'm grinning from ear to ear so much that my cheeks are going to hurt.

This was absolutely FANTASTIC news and I am one big happy camper because of it. 

This has been music to my ears and I'm as happy as a clam!

Okay did I use enough idioms to express my excitement?!

And by this point you might be wondering what trip am I even talking about?

Are you ready for this...

​I'm going back to Europe, checking the Canary Islands off of my Dream Travel destination list and so much more!!!

When is this happening? January 2019

I'm going to start the year off with my globe trotting ways once again and as you know I am  excited as ever!

PLUS did you realize that this means I'm about to conquer yet another continent!

I've already got North America, Central America, South America and Europe on my regular travel schedule and now between November's trip to China and January's trip to Morocco (yup this one is on my itinerary too) and the Canary Islands this will be the first time that I'll be stepping foot on ground in Africa!!

I'll be sharing more of the itinerary with you in the coming weeks, as well as the rest of my China itinerary and more. There is always room for more.

And it seems like I've carried on so much about this very exciting news that I should probably get going now and return with more tomorrow.
