She is sportin' her new Blowfish shoes and her Steve Madden bag. | Hello!! Well, am I ever happy that the sun is out today. You guys know how much I love the rain, but yesterday, during the downpour here on Long Island, it also began to rain in my new kitchen!!! Yes - that's right - I have some kind of leak in my brand new kitchen - I'm not sure what the root of it is, but I have someone coming over tomorrow to investigate so we can fix it. I don't even want to tell you what a damper it put on my birthday. Sometimes I feel like it's impossible to just get ahead - two steps forward and one step back. Needless to say, I'm rather bummed out today. I spoke to Tanya first thing in the morning because I was really sad and feeling quite overwhelmed. Of course, I didn't want to "rain" on her parade (a bit of pun) being that she was setting off for a long and exciting day in Disney's Hollywood Studios. All I keep thinking about is how much fun they are all having, knowing that her pictures and stories will cheer me up! In any case, my beautiful daughter Gianna baked me a gorgeous and DELICIOUS vegan cake to celebrate yesterday evening. She really is a young lady of many talents!! I was just upset and had a bit of a puffy face from crying so no pictures of the birthday girl. But, here is that amazing cake!!! It was a lemon cake and I just love how she did an orange frosting!! I am so happy that Tanya did not let Covid get in the way of her trip, which had been planned well before the pandemic. We'll have a YouTube video up for you in the next week or so from Tanya's trip!
