14 years ago on this day I became mommy to a very wonderful little girl. My adorable precious little buttercup Cosette!
I absolutely just love birthdays and love to celebrate life, which is something that I have passed down to both of my children. And since we just got back from a fabulous trip to Hawaii - which was sort of a combo birthday trip for both Cosette and Dominic (who's bday is at the end of November). We've obviously already had plenty of excitement, so today will be a bit more on the mellow side.
Being that my kiddos are big foodies, each year they decide on a menu well in advance that is filled with all sorts of yummy requests that they want me to create for them on their big day - so luckily they understand that I definitely need some time at home and in the kitchen.
After a scrumptious breakfast of crepes and blintzes, Cosette has actually let me off the hook a bit and has decided that she would like us to go to a family lunch at FreeSoul Caffe. Then afterward we will all go see the movie 'Pan' (which btw has absolutely terrible reviews), before heading home opening presentsand then having a delicious homemade dinner and a lovely Red Velvet cake. So in terms of how much this kid usually has me slaving away in the kitchen - this is a piece of cake!
Cosette through the years...
She's sweet, she's sassy, she's just like her momma, she's my baby and she's 14! Happy Birthday to my brilliantly smart, wise beyond her years, and very beautiful daughter!
While I realize that it is W2GW (where to go Wednesday), please check Elisa's column for plenty of fun things to do and I'll be back tomorrow to share all of today's SCOOP with you, and what our plans for the weekend happen to be - think sweat and mud!
It's time for me to skiddadle, -T
