BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Quick Las Vegas Check InHello my lovelies!!! I cannot tell you how bad I feel that I have not been bopping on here. I know you miss me and I certainly miss you too! But this just cannot go on any longer. Meanwhile I figured that you must've been thinking... "Ohhhhh since Travelin' Tanya (and crew) is in Las Vegas - Sin City as we all know it really should be called. And we all know that What Happens in Vegas stays in Vegas - that I must be trying to keep things clean here and not share all of the dirt or scoop with y'all... Well that is not my motto! In fact: And so... Here I am. Sure I am only bopping on here with a quick bit of Scoop, but I am here nonetheless. Yippie! The trip here started out on Thursday and with a group of 5. Then on Friday (well it was technically Saturday 2:30a) we had 2 more join our fun times... After going to the gym yesterday we had all ventured out together and hit the famed Las Vegas strip. Starting out with a lovely quick breakfast at the Italian Marketplace Eataly - Although the funny thing is that we were actually heading out to eat brunch! And a buffet at that!!! The thing is that since we are on foot and choosing to walk the strip - which of course means checking things out along the way - I knew that it was better if we ate before going to eat because it was going to take a long time to get where we were going... Being that I chose my shoe wear based on style rather than comfort and function - I really should've know better. After several blisters, my normal walking pace was considerably slowed down... IN RELATED READING: Blisters in Rome - can you avoid them? We eventually made it to the Wynn and the Buffet. But that certainly didn't mean that it was time to eat... It was time to stand in a long line to eat. And then sad to say, although the Wynn Buffet does offer plenty of vegan options it was a pathetic offering and a number of us were a bit disappointed...especially knowing what the chefs at The Wynn are capable of! Brunch at the Buffet took so long and my feet were hurting enough that we opted to take a taxi back to our hotel and then after a shoe change, out to watch the first game of the MLB ALCS (Major League Baseball American League Champion Series). My New York Yankees vs Houston Astros and you know that I had to be glued to the boob tube for that one! My boys took the game which was being played on Houston's tuff 7-0 - which of course set the tone for the remainder of the night!! After the game it was time for a quick change and then a most wonderful dinner at one of our favorites - SW Steakhouse! IN RELATED READING: A Win for WynnDinner was a most lovely experience and it was rated as the best meal and dining experience that a number of our gang has ever had!!! Of course I had enjoyed my meal as well (sorry no pics of the food) and I was also so very happy that everyone enjoyed themselves so much! We are just about ready to head out for another fun day here in Vegas. I hope to catch up with you again tomorrow! And just so you know - when I don't bop on here, I am still trying to at least update our FaceBook page - you should check it out! Oki doki guys. Have a great one...you know that I plan to! -Travelin' Tanya | A Fun and Fresh Vegan Tea & TreatsHey there guys!! I bopped on here to write my blog today and what did I find? Tanya had checked in already!!! What a great surprise!! Hoping we'll be hearing from here more often going forward! As for me and my gang, we had had an amazingly relaxing weekend thus far. Today, we enjoyed a tasty early afternoon at the Witches Brew in nearby West Hempstead. I am truly ashamed that I have never visited this delightful eatery before. Not only do they have a ton of teas and hot beverage delights, but an entire menu of vegetarian and vegan offerings!! This place is not only themed adorably, but, has some wonderful food! Since we decided that our visit was going to only include lite bites, we did not partake in appetizers or meals. Instead, we all had tea and lite fare. Gianna and I decided on vegan baked goods, while Kelsey wanted something savory, so she ordered a grill cheese and fries. Me and my trio attempted to dine here yesterday, but, when we went by, the place was packed and the line was out the door. So, our plan was to return today as early as possible and so we did, and we were seated immediately. This eclectic coffee shop is quite charming with its mismatched decor, filled with a variety of seating, tables and even small settees and couches. Everything I saw served looked super yummy and of course, the same was true for what we each ordered. I had their vegan blueberry muffin which was moist and chock full of blueberries. Gianna enjoyed a vegan cinnamon bun and Kelsey dug right into her crunchy, gooey grilled cheese! One thing I am sure of is that we will be returning!! There is just way too much on the menu to be tried! I was thrilled to see that they have tofu cream cheese, which is a rarity anywhere on Long Island. Deelish morning!! A quick one for a Sunday, but I'll be back tomorrow with more, including a new guest blog!! Happy Sunday!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
