Big Apple Circus at Lincoln Center, NYC
Hi there!
My little Punkin eagerly jumped on the bed this morning at 6:30, as if to say "Mommy, we are going to be late" as she's used to us getting up daily at that time. But, I quickly reminded her "it's Saturday. No school today!" as I motioned her to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, Mommy was then awake lol, and so I find myself now writing my blog for the day.
I am absolutely feeling better today, but as fate would have it, it's pouring out and the Hamilton/Washington Historic Tour in lower Manhattan is a 3-hour (rain or shine) walking tour. I think this would be the surest way to have this turn into pneumonia, so it's another postponement.
A bit disappointing, but health comes first. So, what's new for today?? Well, I think I'm going to make a big pot of veggie soup - perfect day for it! Wow, I cannot believe that it's been three years since I last attended the Big Apple Circus. At the time, it was performing in Queens and although both girls emphatically told me they were "too old" for the circus, they (not I), were amazingly surprised at how much they loved it!!
BIG APPLE CIRCUS!
HALF-PRICED TICKETS!!
At this time, the performances are in Manhattan at Lincoln Center! Neither of my girls have, as of yet, been to Lincoln Center, but I'm thinking that this could be the perfect "first" event at this venue!
What's more, the link above, can enable you to get discounted tickets, while they last! I'm sure the kiddos are going to bellyache again, but I don't care. In the end, they always love a visit into Manhattan and when it's coupled with food, it's a win-win! And on the topic of "half-priced" tickets, Tanya and I are working on adding a feed on our site whereby our followers can stay in the know for entertainment and sports events on the Greater New York City and Southern California area. Whether you reside there or scheduling a visit, our goal is to help make your event planning as easy as possible. We expect everything to be up and running within the next week!!! Just one more way for us to thank you and offer you great services for your travel adventures near and far!!
Well, since I will not be traversing into NYC today with my girl Kelsey, I have decided to finalize my income taxes - I know what a total let down from a Hamilton-Washington Historical tour!!!
But, I only have two days left before the deadline to file on my extension. Yikes - nothing like waiting till the last minute. On that note, I'd better hustle and get my paperwork together. Love you all! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
Planners vs non-planners and pre-birthday plans!
Tanya has been flitting all around - even her beloved cousin (yup, this is Elisa) was unable to pin her down yesterday for a textconvo. I'm sure she will be back today!! - E
LOLOL - Yes I am back and I'm sorry I missed everyone yesterday.
I'm a planner. But not everyone lives by such a committed lifestyle. That's another blog altogether lol. Anyhow not everyone plans. I don't understand it, but it's true.
At this point you might be wondering what this tangent I'm going off on is all about. Well I happen to be a rather helpful type of gal. I'm the type who will always be there for you and adjust my own "things to do" in order to make time to do stuff for other people. I always see articles on how you should say "NO" and put yourself first. But really I don't see the need for that type of negatively in my life.
If I can help out, then I'm gonna. I love being productive and keeping busy so why the heck not.
Plus...I say "NO" often enough! LOL Which all leads me to yesterday when I left the house much earlier than expected so that I could do everything that I needed, to also help out with the extras that are asked of me and to still get back home in time to plop myself in front of the TV to watch the first game of the NLCS. The Brewers won 6-5 over the Dodgers in a great game. I'm not a "fan" of either team, but as a baseball fan I thoroughly enjoyed the game. And as the game was on, the rain started to really come down. We finally had a little storm come through here! Thunder echoed and lightning struck for hours as the sky put on a pretty big show of it's own! TODAY is the day before my little one's birthday! Okay so she might not be so little anymore (she is petite, if you count that). The plan is to go to a family brunch today at Cafe Gratitude in Newport Beach. The reason we are celebrating with brunch today is because Cosette wants to have her birthday breakfast at Kitchen Mouse up in LA tomorrow and getting the fam bam up there for breakfast would be quite the impossible task! LOL More on her birthday plans and pictures from today in tomorrow's Daily Scoop. There are also 2 games on today. But it looks like I'm gonna need to pick and choose. And since the first one (NLCS) is on at 1:09p Pacific time, I have to go with the 5:09p (ALCS) Boston Red Sox vs Houston Astros game. I NEVER schedule my life around the TV. But come the postseason I seem to make the effort. LOL Back atcha tomorrow, -Travelin' Tanya |
