Hello hello. Boy are we coming off of a hectic event.
What has been named Canyon Hills Fire 2 is now at 45% containment and expected to be at 100% by Oct 14th (Saturday - Cosette's birthday).

People in the neighborhood are all still a bit skittish and the sound of a siren is putting us on edge. My mom freaked out this morning wanting to know why there was a siren and what was happening now..
I've seen comments made like: "I just heard sirens... off sunset ridge and Serrano. Anyone know what going on? I feel so on edge just worried about the fires still."
And this was my closing statement/update last night:
Well the day was somewhat back to normal. We we’re all quite exhausted from all we went through yesterday as well as dealing with all of the emotional strife.
I hope that I don’t ever have to go through all of that ever again (this wasn’t my first - but I do hope it’s my last) nor do I wish it on anyone.
The firefighters have come from all over to help put this fire 🔥 out and keep us safe. We are now at 40% containment & 8,000 acres. They are true HEROES!

They have repopulated most of the evacuees and life goes on. We continue to pray for those in the Napa Fires. The idea of having a fire season is so surreal and unheard of for me and yet here I am with at least 4 fires that were too close for comfort. Is it time to move?
Well like I said, things are pretty much going back to normal. Though Dominic did skip class yesterday since he had a headache and was just plain exhausted.
I did manage to finally order Cosette's bday cake. And after picking up Dave B. from work I was quite hungry and in the mood for spring rolls (they are so yummy).
We stopped at Loving Hut on the way home and I ordered the spring rolls which totally hit the spot!

After pretty much 3 weeks in a row of near panic attacks and highly stressful situations. I'm gonna try to relax today and shake the extra nerves. I also plan on watching a couple of MLB Division Series games.
I look forward to Cosette's bday weekend and the next time that I am getting away - which is in 9 days!
