BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Minor InjuryGood day and what a sunny, cheery day it is today! With all the rain we've been getting, I was stoked to see the sun shining through my bedroom window this morning. A bit tired, but full of enthusiasm to get the day started, I walked towards the bathroom and B-A-N-G - I jammed my foot into Kelsey's laptop, which had been left on the floor beside my bed. At first, I didn't know what happened or what I banged into, but when I saw it was her laptop, anger took over for a brief moment, until I went back to feeling the throbbing in my toe. Of course, I yelled at her but what difference was it really going to make at this point. In any case, I'm in some terrible pain, and every time I go to walk, it hurts super bad. This was not what I had in mind for my day!! My plan for later in the day included a trip to the gym, and honestly, I don't see how I can walk that much, let alone, get on an elliptical, let alone the treadmill. I'm really annoyed! However, I always try to live by the old adage above, and so, if I'm not meant to move about today, I'll be productive in a "sitting" position. There's lots of work that still needs to be done with our increasing list of Vegan Approved foodie destinations! Why I still have close to 20 more wonderful vegan eateries that need to be notified that they have been awarded our Vegan Approved badge!! In fact, me and Tanya received these super cool photos from one of our Vegan Approved eateries this week, proudly displaying their window sticker!! Freshly Made in the Bronx, will be the focus of my next feature for ThisIsTheBronx AND on our Foodie Friday column here on TC. Super exciting stuff as our family of Vegan Approved businesses is expanding!!! Great news!!! I heard from Tanya at around 5:45AM (New York Time) and she had landed in China awaiting her second flight, which would bring her to Beijing. I'm sure she'll have a great deal to tell us once she lands and arrives at her hotel. However, she did send me a photo, which I posted on her Scoop - check it out!! Going to grab my hot lemon water with honey and cinnamon (my morning ritual) and get crackin' on my "to do's." See ya back tomorrow! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo | Touching Down in China!Greetings from China!! Well what did I or could I expect - both the cellular service and wifi out here is pretty lame thus far. So I am having trouble doing simple things like blogging! Yes blogging could and should be a fairly simple thing - however having to have something to blog about is where the world of blogging becomes quite a bit less simple and with a travel schedule and life as busy as mine. The time to write a blog becomes somewhat of a luxury. Hence I really don't have the time or the patience for lame connections. Anyhow I am here! WooHoo! The flights were nice, I was excited as you can see: I watched Ocean's Eight, Bridget Jones and the entire season 8 of Modern Family...More TV than I've watched the rest of the entire year! LOL In any case, can you believe that I am actually in China? I don't know if it's actually hit me yet. Somewhat like other things. Like - "What day is it?" "What time is it?" "And Where on Earth did Wednesday go???" Somewhere along the way we've completely LOST Wednesday. We never saw it. It was Tuesday for the longest time and now although it is still Wednesday for you, I am writing to you at 3am on Thursday morning! We quite literally followed the sun all the way to China. It never got dark until we were in Shanghai. And somewhere in there is where we lost Wednesday. Now sit back and please enjoy a small little photo album of our day up in the clouds crossing the Pacific and landing in the Far East! Now it's quite late, or quite early depending on how you look at it and I need at least a wee little nap before waking up for the day. We are meeting our group and with Stacia and Savanna at 6:30am. Time for me to go. Catch ya later for me and like tomorrow for you. I'm outta here, -Travelin' Tanya |
